From the Tao Poon platforms you can see the blue line extension going off towards Bang Pho. It will eventually link up with the other extension at Tha Phra, which is the extension from Hua Lamphong, making a circle.

Beggar kid from Cambodia on Sukhumvit Road BKK (I was in town doing a visa run).
Her mum is out of camera shot.
I know that the minders (police) take most the money that they are given, (which is why these beggars never smile when you give them 10 baht, 'cos they have to hand over most of the money at the end of the day).
But I don't think that little girl will have to hand over her doll - which is why I bought it for her :)
79 baht well-spent. They beg by the steps up to the overhead walkway, just next to soi 7.
^They get some crappy slum dosshouse to lay their weary heads and rations to eat in exchange for toiling those filthy pavements.
