This thread has made me think back to when I was a relatively young man (my early years in Thailand) up until today and I have never pulled a normal non-bar Thai lady upon out first meeting.

Now I am talking about a one night stands or first night leg overs and I can honestly say I have met many ladies through my professional business dealings and ended up having some form of relationship with some of them (after time) but never a first night shag and for the sake of it.

My experiences have been vastly different in Malaysia and Singapore and for instance sake and when scoring local non-bar girls on the first meeting.

All in all I generally find Thai woman to be quite prudish until you win their confidence and respect and don't give over so easily.

Those young, well dressed professional types do very well for themselves amongst the local maidens - even on the BTS (although, to be fair, they are MUCH less likely to be ON the BTS in the first place).

Its a question of appropriateness. Something Oh, so many farang lose touch with in thailand. Just because 20 year old noi in nana says you (generic you, not personal) are a "handsome man" - they rest of us think you (generic you, not personal) are a dirty old pervert for letching at 20 year olds on the public transport system.

That Uni student dressed up to the nines firstly is not on the game, and secondly, she is not advertising her assets to YOU (generic, not personal) - she is indeed advertising for that young, well drssed professional.

Nobody begrudges an old fart an admiring glance or two of an attractive dolly - but if you are 40/50/60 and REALLY think you have a chance with a 20 year old, non-professional outside of nana and its ilk- you (generic, not personal) have lost the plot.
