The Times presents Destinations: The Holiday & Travel Show 2009 - FREE tickets

This is a genuine offer of free entrance tickets for a top notch travel show in the UK; I'm hopeful that the fantastic mods of TeakDoor will agree, in their usual wisdom, that the free bit outweighs the commercial angle and not delete me . . . ! These tickets would cost GBP12.00 on the door and All Points East are not asking for anything in return.

The Times presents Destinations: The Holiday and Travel Show 2009 (or Destinations Travel Show) is quite a big deal, ABTA, the BBC and The Times are all credited with being among the sponsors or partners. Their all singing all dancing site is here if you fancy taking a look. I'd like to add links to the timetable of events and speakers but I think that might tip me over the edge with the incredibly patient and fair minded moderating team - suffice to say it does look to be an impressive show!

All Points East are friends of mine (and, yes, part time clients: for the sake of full disclosure!), they are a well established and respected tour company offering many different adventure tours in South East Asia. The All Points East team will be at the show and they have free tickets available to anyone who wants to visit the show in London this week. No strings attached, just make contact and ask for tickets - the show is this week so you will need to move quickly to have them sent out to you. The various contact details for All Points East are here - contact the UK office and they will sort out your tickets.

The venue is Earls Court in London and the event runs from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 February, doors open at 10:00 and the show closes at 20:30 on Thursday and at 17:30 on the other days.

This could be a good chance for any TDers in the UK looking to cheer themselves up and forget about the horrible cold white stuff covering the ground right now!

    Cheers,

So I noticed! But thanks for the small first step to taking this thread to a century.

If I change the title to "CMN doesn't believe I can take this thread to 100 posts", do you think I will have more success?

I'll go get those extra links now . . . you are a moderator, right? That was a permission slip to add more links, wasn't it?

    Okay, fair comment!

I do have a few links to share with anyone snow bound in the UK who may be interested in this travel show:

A short Squidoo lens giving some info on the show and the FREE tickets available.

The Times present Destinations: Holiday & Travel Show 2009 - the website.

The timetables for the Meet the Expert Theatre: "Be inspired, amused and filled with wanderlust and join explorers, travel personalities and writers at the Meet the Experts Theatre 2009."

Oh, and at The Late Night Travel Festival there's a Russian vodka tasting going on, along with Chinese Lion Dancers, Bollywood dance entertainment, various competitions and more.

    JxP - century in sight!
