I must say,
I go out of my way to meet people but only on a one on one basis, only if I like the way they post and only if I feel I would have something in common with the said person.
Dont do group meetings as every one is pissed up and you usually dont get to see the true person.
Ive meet some good people and never struck a dud yet.
Just an idea...how are you with costume parties? ['fancy dress parties' for you Commonwealth types]
Sounds like there are many TD members who would like to socialize with you, and probably wouldn't mind dressing up as pirates, animals, or flowers if that would make you feel at ease.
Just a thought...
I am also very shy and prefer meeting a selected few to big parties.
Just learned to ignore my shyness, it gets easier as you keep practising.
I was so nervous before the first TV meeting I went to...brought the missus along to hold my hand. Now I usually know one or two guys already, but there are several 'threats' pending...
Now Scampi, be a good boy and leave Sandra out of this, you COCK.Quote:

Ok, here is the first update from the Mall and the dinner, I drove back at 23.00 so I dont know what happen after that point.
The people who showed up was , me+wife+one friend from denmark, MtD, Chinthee, DaveArr, Sabang+wife, Norton+wife, Tsicar+2 kids,Texpat, Forreachingme. We all had a good time there, nice girls serving cold beer, what more can a man ask for ??(except for his staying home).
Then at 17.30 they called from the Andy restaurant and told us to go fok ourself, they wouldent hold the BBQ as promissed, but Forreachingme is a great man, so he offered to hold the BBQ at his house, so many thanks to him for doing that :)
Due to my heavy intake of medication I stayed relative sober all evening + I had to drive back as well, so therefor I'm able to give a clear picture of the event and the people pressent.
Mtd behaved as normal, being a twat from he arrived until I left,:) no surprises there
Tsicar, oh boy..he got his hands full with those two boys 9 and 6 years old. He's a bit hard to understand, the SA accent it quite strong..:)
Sabang, has a very nice wife, and his an alright kind of bloke to :)
Chinthee...  Does the name Vito from the Soprano series tell you anything...:)
DaveArr..One horny Aussi on the lose, didn't stop talking about it for one minute.:)
Forreachingme. One hell of a man, hats of for him..:)
Texpat...Is still very national, and he feels that the Yanks are taking it up the arse all the time..:).
Norton+wife, had a early evening I think he missed PP, a man at his own age..:)
Me. A total failure, left the party almost sober, but happy :) My bike-parts arrived, so big thanks to Rigger, Texpat and one delivery man :)
Sounds like a washout to be honest mate:)
^ Not at all, I have been down the sewer road plenty of times..:)
And next weekend it's of to Koen-Kaen...:)
all those 1970s built identikit cowtowns look to me to be indistinguishable from one another, eg Korat, Nakorn Ratchasima etc etc
^ What are you trying to say ??
Yeah, they do look identical :)Quote:

It's great with these new smoking laws cause folk assume your just going out for a cigarette instead of taking a break from the company, although that only works with folk who don't know that you don't smoke. Maybe I should start.
Dalton was taking the piss trying to pinch Texpat's nipples and trying to turn everyone gay all night. He left a big bruise on Mtd's thigh from a hard love squeeze.
Davearn, Mtd, Texpat and I went out to a real men after party at a Coyote Bar. Sabang came for a bit and his wife is a real sport, wanted to come along and take a look too.
Dalton is about the size of a Grizzly Bear on steroids.
A bit of both, to be complete honest..:)Quote:

I knew there was a reason Thai women love TD members.
You dont think it's weird being scared of answering the phone ?? Or to meet people who you communicate with on the internet ?? You post pictures of yourself on a public forum, but you're afraid to meet peole in real life....If this sounds normal to you, then I guess that I'm the weird one.Quote:

Of course it's not normal. You think I can find an English speaking shrink here in Korat who's familiar with treating Social Anxiety Disorder? Even if I could, think I could afford to pay for it?Quote:

A full frontal lobotomy is a bit extreme

I'd settle for a full bottle in front of me

At least the effects are reversible
I must thank Davearn for the bottle of Wild Turkey, and he left a carton of Winston cigarettes in the car - highest bidder can have them :)
If you are socially anxious but want to meet people, you a freak but if you are socially anxious but still don't give a toss about meeting people, then you are just a miserable bastard?
So, is that bigger or smaller than Chi? (That's the one with the neck for those of you that get confused by the first three letters of a nik being the same...:bunny3:)Quote:
