But Gwyneth Paltrow’s latest lifestyle advice is probably her most outrageous yet.

The 43-year-old actress has published her first-ever sex issue on her opinion-dividing website, Goop.

As well as reviewing an erotic theatre in Los Angeles, writing about sexual trauma and revealing all about a new pelvic floor trainer, Chris Martin’s ex-wife has revealed her favourite bedroom gadgets.

The X-rated feature, called ‘Not-So-Basic Sex Toys’, rounds up the mum-of-two’s top playthings.

“Sex toys have long since graduated from the floppy rubber things you hide in your bedside table to beautiful works of interactive art,” she writes.

Obviously there’s more to Gwyn’s pleasure time than a pair of pink fluffy handcuffs from Ann Summers.

Amongst the risqué items is a 24-karat gold dildo, a £295 whip and a fetish fantasy beginner’s kit.

Dubbed a must-have for “women who demand the ultimate in luxurious indulgence”, the INEZ dildo is priced at £10,000 for the gold version or there’s a silver offering for a slightly more purse-friendly £4,990.

“It’s perfect for those who understand that you can’t put a price on pleasure,” the website states.

The Agent Provocateur Cat Whip has long leather strands and gold metal hardware while the fetish kit – ideal for wannabe Christian Grey’s - features an eye mask and a paddle.

Other items in Gwyn’s haul include a feather tickler, a vibrating necklace and massage oils.

She also recommends the Weapons of Mass Seduction game (“The dirtiest card game, in the best possible way”) and a vibrator that can be controlled using a mobile phone app.

In a separate article, clean-eating Gwyn has also offered advice on natural alternatives to lubricants.

For those who don’t want to use “toxic” products she recommends trying out organic coconut oil, olive oil, aloe vera gel or almond oil.

I liked her role in "A Perfect Murder" (1997).
