I don't follow closely but seem to remember watching the West Indies score 400/500 in an innings and being the team to beat. Viv Richards and the like... was that in the 80s or further back in the 70s?

    Just on the bus now.

    ETA 11.03

That's 3 minutes late in my book although Wetherspoons opens at 7, so we could argue its 4 hours late.

I'm going to the 2nd test in Birmingham next week.

    8.30am train down.

The Wetherspoons at New Street is mint too, so I might not even make the game.

6 liter capacity for chilled homemade herbal teas on tap. It donnae get any better.

A simple lemongrass and ginger number to start with.

    Though perhaps will split 'em.

3 liters of lavender, jasmine and chamomile in one.
3 liters of ginger, safflower and cinnamon in the other.

Time to order another 2 to really get the selection going.

I hear a lil rose petal, peach flower and honeysuckle darling calling out.

Did you ever hear of 'mudlarking' Mendo?

Sounds a bit rude to me.

Something like Willy might do on a passport run, if Tax is to be believed.

Nice idea. I had capsules of sand I had collected from Tokyo, Vancouver, Samui, Barcelona, San Francisco, Mehico, Honduras, each of the Canary islands and a few other places. Don't know what I did with them in my epic number of house moves.

Bubbles is the order of the day to launch a new vessel in the form of the aircraft carrier that is not an aircraft carrier, since Russia would not be allowed to sail the Admiral Kusnetsov through the Bosphorus and Dardanelles if it really was an aircraft carrier...

Apologies for the blurred photo. There was a tea leaf behind me who was bragging to the pub that the judge had given her a "walkout" from some small town that she'd been robbing in, so I wanted to keep an eye on my wallet.

    Classy place, Manchester Piccadilly 'spoons.

    Amen to that brother.

I think I live near one of the cheapest Spoons in the Country.

Your favourite Faux Wop beer is only 4.33 for 2 thirds of a litre in there

    Bottles though, innit?

I was paying 4.37 for Guinness yesterday.

Gonna go to a pub soon and it's almost 7 quid.

    Fuck you John Willie Lees.

If you can put up with people shitting themselves at the bar, grafters nicking your wallet and junkies shooting up in the bog, you can't really go wrong with a 'spoons.

Wow, you could get a Leffe here for that and although not akin to spending a tenner for a pint which was served with a German Head that should have came with a flake, like the doctor above.... You Norverners are getting bent over...

I was just gonna mention the different class of customer

Look at this guy in the middle, in the Union Jack tee and Mercan baseball cap. I thought it might be Snubby at first but he had one of those horrible thick Northern Oirish accents
