Starts counting fingers and toes.... must be 5 or 6 weeks since I last had any alcohol. Have absolutely zero desire to have any.

Switching to herbal teas is fantastic. Gloriously fresh sleep, gloriously fresh healthy body and min.... gloriously fresh healthy body. Lovely taste and feelings, nicer for the kid to see as well. Everything about it is a win.

3 mins to go before the morning 30km cycle. Glorious.

^^^ Why aside from pointless snobbery do you waste Dom on making sparkling fruit wine. Some prosecco would work - imo though champagne is awful stuff so adding fruit juice can only improve it.

^It is what she likes. Edit: She loves that Pineapple mimosa

I posted about how she used to drink Perrier-Jouet and mix it with orange juice, but when she tasted Dom Perignon with orange juice she thought it was much better.

I don’t drink, but to taste only.

I gave it a mis for 2 months and probably would of kept going but a mate I hadn't seen for over 20 years turned up, might do sober October? Gotta admit it was quite nice to stop daily drinking. The last time that happened was when I got sent to Sudan and fuckall choice

Lemongrass tea on the balcony watching mother nature go crazy. Don't have a couple of beers daily these days, it messes with my sleep.

I'm warming to this Sober October idea as I've had about 3 dry days in the last 3 years!

Be interesting to see if I can do it and what health benefits I get.

Indeed. I am sure my place of work will gladly hop online. Seems to be their thing. The plus of all this is the rain nicely dulls the sound of the road out.

Thinly sliced fresh ginger in hot water, left to cool for 10 minutes.

    Very chillaxing

Every now and again I have sober spells due to work. I can tell you that after a month or 2 off the grog you feel absolutely revitalised and you look a lot healthier too. It usually encourages me to stay off it when I get home and get back into an exercise routine. To be fair, I normally keep it up until the weekend.

The only fruit juice left in the galley right now is apple and tomato (combined). I gave it a go and it was boggin. I added some L&P and Tabasco. Putrid.

Just found out at 40 that an Americano is just black coffee.

I'm pretty sure black coffee existed before Americans were around to name everything, I pretty sure it's older than Marca

I don't actually feel that great after 3 or 4 weeks off on a day-to-day basis.

But the bad days don't even compare to the bad days, which obviously last a lot longer as you age, when you are on it. My god, the beer fear. Eurgh.

Same here. The sleep is the big reason why I can never understands how a person functions each day after a couple/few every night.

I suppose chitty just plays the long game and stays pissed.

Actually, it's not. An Americano is a shot of espresso with hot water added to it.

    I beg to differ

An Americano is a bog standard coffee with a 1/4 milk.
