My eldest went to an Irish bar a few months back and instead of a lucky shamrock on his pint they expertly made a portrait of our dear departed doggie

A fitting toast and tribute.

Yea I know a nice pub near my mates house off Brixton Hill, hand in hand, 3.50 a pint of the black stuff. Where just went, 6.80, Young's pub.
Went to the Captain Kidd pub on Wapping High Street the other week, Sam Smiths, selling their black gold for 7.80 a fucking pint.
^nice, Smirnoff 5555
^My mate was a landlord and it is a mix of tax and wages and then the price hike scars away the plebs.
^^yup heard that one too
Start with an ale and as afternoon segues into evening switch over to an Irish.

^Scary thought. Yeah ive heard Brighton is now pang mak for anything
Bottles of wine go way too quickly
Nice Italian red from Spark's, only 12 quid

It really is a total cringe when people do that.
Especially when they fuck it up like that.
'pang mak'
:smileylaughing:
Drinking wine from normal glasses really seems to be a thing on here.
Personally, I find that fancy wine glasses are way too delicate and liable to breakage, either during washing up or due to 'dog on table' events.
Much better a robust, low centre of gravity, normal glass.
Maradona > Peter Crouch.
Got it.
Or of course, because a normal glass is all that's available.
I have been drinking this... woke up wide awake at 2am... what do do?
A nice drop in a normal glass while watching the cricket.

I'm not sure how this day will progress, but current thinking is a Full Scottish at 7am, followed by my last couple of tins of Peroni while continuing to watch the cricket, followed by a snooze.
I could get used to this.
A drop of Heineken

^ Nice glass. I'm sure that will be heading back to Samut Prakan.
^ One of my old favs. That and Erdinger Weizen, of which I sunk a number of pints on NYE. Nice, but once a year is enough.
It makes you drink less each time.
'This approach allows you a way of maintaining your dignity while still enjoying yourself. The Italians call this the “art of drinking well without drinking too much.” In the Italian tradition, wine in tumblers is not just a way of enjoying wine, but also a way of enjoying other people'
You really just step in it every time don't you skinny jeans. It is supposed to be said in a tongue in cheek manner, you say it with a bit of a funny accent. If you know you know, you wouldn't have to hear me saying it. All my Thai family and friends think its funny....and then there is you, you just dont even get it 555555
I have to agree with BC on the wine in tumblers thing. It is a part of sprezzatura. I still like drinking my wine in a stemmed class while in a restaurant, but while out outside, or elsewhere I am cool with a tumbler.
^ Fuck off Snubby, drinking it outta the bottle in the brown bag is not part of spezzatura
When in Rome and all that.
Paired with a bag of SPAR Cheezies, way cheaper than Wotsits.

^ A Scottish brunch! Well done, Mendip. You'll fit right in. :D
Lovely beer, especially the special brew. Try and try a Bellhaven Black stout
^ I'm limited to the stock in the SPAR over the road from the hotel, as no way I'm walking another 10km today.
I very nearly got meself a bottle of Buckfast but I have to maintain some standards in front of my new shipmates.
^ God no, walk in drinking a can of IrnBru, they will know you're alright and can be trusted lol
There's only one way to drink wine!
That's down in one from a full pint glass.
Evil stuff and the ultimate gut rot.
:smileylaughing:
Was there not a law change that introduced ridiculously higher taxes to cheap wines and ciders like Buckfast, White Lightening and Mont Clair and an outright ban on 3 and 5 litre versions of the stuff in Scotland, culminating in thousands of English border booze runs?
How much was the can of Tennents and did you get orange fingers?:)
After a pretty draining but fun field trip I needed some coldies. Found a chill spot in Thonglor and spent the evening sipping craft beers and playing boardgames. Nice way to wind down the day

^ I'll get on to Google Maps, I fancy a pint!
85% proof!!
Customary libration for da masses, don't mind if I do.
