Where is good for a night out these days?

Depends what you are after (a lot of those bars are the hostess type) and Walkabout - wow, reminds me of an aussie mining community bar, without the class.

When I go I firstly pop into the Green Vespa for a bite to eat (really solidly good all day breakfast there by the way; top notch bacon and sausages) and pick up the little handbook guide for the month. Around the Green Vespa area there are quite a few riverside bars that are decent enough. Depends what you are after though (warning, there is a tuk tuk driver who wear a Orange polo shirt with "as seen on TV" on it about - don't make the mistake of asking him to take you to lady hotel; he will, but not a good one).
