In this arid wilderness of steel and stone I raise up my voice that you may hear.

To the East and to the West I beckon. To the North and to the South I show a sign — Proclaiming “Death to the weakling, wealth to the strong.”

Open your eyes that you may hear, O! men of mildewed minds and listen to me, ye laborious millions!

For I stand forth to challenge the wisdom of the world; to interrogate the “laws” of man and of “God.”

I request reasons for your Golden Rule and ask the why and wherefore of your Ten Commands.

Before none of your printed idols do I bend in acquiescence and he who saith “thou shalt” to me is my mortal foe.

I demand proof over all things, and accept (with reservations) even that which is true.

I dip my forefinger in the watery blood of your impotent mad-redeemer (your Divine Democrat— your Hebrew Madman) and write over his thorn-torn brow, “The true prince of Evil — the king of the Slaves!”

No hoary falsehood shall be a truth to me — no cult or dogma shall encramp my pen.

I break away from all conventions. Alone, untrammeled. I raise up in stern invasion the standard of the Strong.

I gaze into the glassy eye of your fearsome Jehovah, and pluck him by the beard— I uplift a broad-axe and split open his worm-eaten skull.

I blast out the ghastly contents of philosophic whited sepulchres and laugh with sardonic wrath.

Then reaching up the festering and varnished facades of your haughtiest moral dogmas, I write thereon in letters of blazing scorn: — “Lo and behold, all this is fraud!”

I deny all things! I question all things!

Gather around me O! ye death-defiant, and the earth itself shall be thine, to have and to hold.

He who saith unto himself, “I must believe, I must not question” is not a man but a mere pusillanimous mental gelding. He who believes “because it has been handed down” is a menial in his heart; and he who believes “because it has been written” is a fool in his folly. Sagacious spirits doubt all things, and hold fast only to that which is demonstrably true.

The rules of life are not to be found in Korans, Bibles, Decalogues and Constitutions, but rather the rules of decadence and death. The “law of laws” is not written in Hebrew consonants or upon tables of brass and stone, but in every man’s own heart. He who obeys any standard of right and wrong, but the one set up by his own conscience, betrays himself into the hands of his enemies, who are ever laying in wait to bind him to their millstones.

And generally a man’s most dangerous enemies are his neighbors.

Masterful men laugh with contempt at spiritual thunders, and have no occasion to dread the decisions of any human tribunal. They are above and beyond all that. Laws and regulations are only for conquered vassals. The free man does not require them. He may manufacture and post up Decalogue regulations, to bind and control dependents with, but he does not himself bow down before those inventions of his own hands, —except as a lure.

Statute books and golden rules, were made to fetter slaves and fools. Very useful are theyfor controlling the herds of sentenced convicts who fill the factories and cultivate the fields. All moral principles therefore are the servitors, not the masters of the strong.

Power made moral codes, and Power abrogates them.

Hardly satanic. A little later in the same book the author masturbates into Satan's nostrils, he considers Satan a weakling because Satan believes in God.

Indeed. A bukake moment. Based on the title alone, your average fatwa dude won't bother to read the book.

The first one I posted is "The Book of the Law", Aleister Crowley. The second, and much more fun one, is "Might is Right" by Ragnar Redbeard. Both were originally printed about 100 years ago and are available for free on the net.

^Atheistic text or agnostic? None of the above? do you know the history of the books and the history of the author's? Might be interesting to post here? Very unusual style and the thought process is very interesting from an objective point of view. Pretty hard core anti Christ stuff or all religions for sure. Thanks.

The Crowley stuff I know a lot about but don't really want to post about it here as the thread, like all political/philosophical/religious threads here, would inevitably end up as the Standard TD Clusterfuck(TM). There's no shortage of information about Crowley or his writings, almost all of which are freely downloadable, on the Net. Ragnar Redbeard is a lot more obscure, some people believe he might actually have been Jack London. I haven't really bothered to find out much about him as the book, while great for trolling forums with, is fundamentally pretty repulsive and, frankly, pretty silly.

Ok, I didn't know Jack London wrote under a pseudonym? I grew up on London's books.

Agree very different style and subject deceptiveness, however it has a way of expressing its subject I haven't encountered before. I don't agree with its conclusions or either of the writers conclusions, but find the writers have an ability to turn a phrase.

Looked up brief bio.'s on both authors and it seems that Crowley received his works through a spirit or discarnate figure. In Egypt in three days in April. He never wanted to publish his writings. He rejected them as he was a Buddhist believer it says. The spirit he spoke with was named Aiwass.

As for Redbeard it is as you say perhaps a pseudonym for Jack London. Text says the writings have been introduced into a satanic order. Also interestingly they were used by Leo Tolstoy as part of his claims to socialism and anti-belief system in God or religions. Utilized by the Socialist party as part of their readings and belief structures.
