I have it on good authority as in from a guy whose wife knows the Gerrards that he has been shagging his wifes step sister/half sister (can't remember which) and she's only 16 and possibly pregnant. Now i know most people couldn't give a fcuk, me included, but just gives me a twinge when i know something before the great unwashed do and i feel it only right to share it with fellow TD members also.

Anyway this story is apparantly rife round that bastion of truth Liverpool and will break soon in the press here.

England captain Steven Gerrard rocked by internet lies over 'affair'

Englandcaptain Steven Gerrard must have thought life couldn't get much worse after the team's ignominious World Cup exit.

But last night he found himself fending off scurrilous internet rumours about his behaviour off the pitch.

Allegations that the footballer had an affair with his wife's 16-year-old sister began circulating via text messages and emails following England's defeat by Germany last weekend.

Within hours the rumours had spread across the world through internet football forums, blogs and social networking sites such as Twitter.

Last night, the claims were dismissed as 'rubbish' by insiders - not least on the grounds that Gerrard's wife, Alex Curran, pictured below with the footballer, does not even have a sister.

The messages, which have been received by thousands, say that England's poor performances in South Africa were a result of a rift in the team caused by Gerrard's alleged affair.

They claim that John Terry and other players were furious that the midfielder was allowed to keep the captaincy even though Fabio Capello stripped Terry of the post when he was exposed for having an affair with another player's ex-girlfriend earlier in the year.

It's a step sister (allegedly), so claims that she doesn't have a sister are correct.

Haha. Couple of my workmates got texts yesterday stating Rooneys below par form is down to his having split from his missus ! Apparently its not hit the news cos the FA got a court order gagging the press until after the world cup ! Some people got too much time on their hands .

Old news BB. Has been around since April. There are certainly rumours that a gagging order is in place and that the story (if there is one) will surface in the next two weeks. Girls in question are not only rumoured to be his wife's niece, but also the daughters of more than one ex L'pool player. If true Stevie has been a busy boy!!!

Story apparently originated on Redcafe - a Man U forum. hmmmmm!!!! Not sure where the other rumour about Rooney and yet another prostitute started though! but apparently he did give John Terry a right hook when this was mentioned in South Africa.

My sister's mate says her friend knows that Steve's gay and is having an affair with a crab fisherman in Totnes.

This has been around the net for the past 2 weeks at least, wasn't his missus' sister though, just some random 15/16 yr old.

He had a court injunction thing to suppress it from the media.

It was going to run in tomorrows News Of The World but apparently the court have put a gag on this for at least another 14 days.

It has been around since April, but the mention that the girl in question is in fact his sister-in-law has just been going about for the past few days I think. His wife is apparently humping a Derby County player.

SEX slurs claiming England's World Cup hopes were undermined by a player's fling with a teenage girl are a sick HOAX, The Sun can reveal.

Thousands of fans have received texts and emails saying captain Steven Gerrard had got wife Alex Curran's 16-year-old sister pregnant.



But the lies are blown apart by one crucial fact - model Alex, 27, does not even HAVE a sister.



The malicious scam blames England's poor showing on the team being torn apart by fall-out from the "affair". John Terry and other players were said to be furious "cheat" Gerrard had kept the captain's armband, while Terry lost it when he was revealed as a love rat this year.



Messages detailing the lies spread like wildfire since England's exit from the tournament on Sunday.



They claim the dressing room was so divided - with some aces backing Gerrard, 30, and others Terry, 29 - that they could not play together on the pitch.

But a source said last night: "The players can't believe such obvious absolute rubbish is being peddled so widely.



"There was no affair, so there could never have been a rift between the players about it. Anyone doing the slightest research can instantly see it could never be true.



"The whole story is a pack of lies without even a scintilla of truth, but it has spread so widely that some people are being taken in by it."

Some readers who have fallen for the hoax even accused The Sun of covering up the "affair".



They accused us of not fighting a so-called court "super-injunction" said in the texts to be what is stopping the media from reporting the story. But in reality there is NO gagging order - because there is NO truth in the story.



The insider added: "The players are well aware that malicious rumours are being spread, but people need to know that they are as much a work of fiction as a Harry Potter novel."
