    Here's a prediction for you.....

If England bat first in Brisbane, they will be four down by lunch if Johnson starts in Australia's attack. Even if he doesn't we'll be 3 down.

Yes, it's clear how much a session win means so much to Australians.......

They hold the session wins Ashes so I'm told.

^ Point is England only won one only test convincingly on home soil. The rest could of gone either way, and the weather saved your arse at times.

This series will be closer playing on our home turf.

Betty is pulling herself with this 0-5 nonsense.

Australia and India scored 3596 runs in 11 innings over six games. Had the Ranchi ODI not been washed out halfway, and the Cuttack ODI been played, this series would have comfortably breached the 4000 mark, which has never happened before.

Fours. Sixes. Hundreds. A double-hundred. Take your pick. Feel like it's becoming stick cricket? Well, you asked for it when you started feeling "bored" during an ODI. There used to be something loosely called the middle overs, when batting teams tried to build by taking singles and twos and fielding sides tried to contain by restricting boundaries. Fans apparently found the middle overs too tedious, especially with the rise of T20 cricket. (Part of an article from .........)

Batsmen do practice hitting sixes much more often now - we see more in test cricket too. Field restrictions in ODIs favour the batsmen. But the flat pitches in India really are a joke.

^ you keep on implying how you are more intelligent than people who watch ODIs.

You know what they say about people who always brag about their intelligence don't you?

For an alleged intelligent person you do use a lot of rofl smileys and 5555s to finish your posts.

Do you also run around your soi in your underwear wearing a tin foil hat calling out " I'm not crazy I'm not crazy" ?

So what is your starting XI for Brisbane then Mr. Smartypants?

I don't. I don't use smileys, I think I did once recently so you didn't take offence as so you often seem to..... but that was the only time. I usually leave it to the recipient to decide what my mood is. They usually get it very very wrong.

In what way does that justify this correct use of the English language?

    My XI

    Cook
    Carberry
    Trott
    Pietersen
    Bell
    Root
    Prior
    Broad
    Swann
    Anderson
    Tremlett

Tremlett is the real wild card here...... get him on form and firing and it'll make our job a lot easier.I don't believe Broad and anderson are good enough to carry this attack without a lot of help from this slot.

^ Kwajaja has a good technique but seems to lack the mental strength. Usually gets a good start of 30/40 odd then gets out. Sometimes he scores big but very inconsistent. Lehman is a fan of his though, so he may be given ANOTHER chance to prove he has what it takes. We have a couple of other guys who are out scoring him by far in shield cricket. Doolan and Crosgrove ( I think is his name ) are a couple that deserve a chance. Maddinson is another young player who looks good.

btw... I do have contempt for people who only have the attention span for one day cricket. This great game panders to these fuckwits and I have no interest in the shoddy product served up for them, none of which matters. It just means nothing.

Just for you I won't mention it again until you start implying that the Poms are not talking because they are losing a meaningless one day series that I for one won't be watching.

England playing Australia A in Hobart.......

243-0, Both Cook (118*) and Carberry (120*) have scored hundreds.

Doesn't mean a great deal but it's better than being all out for 180.

England XI - AN Cook, MA Carberry, IJL Trott, KP Pietersen, JE Root, GS Ballance, MJ Prior†, SCJ Broad, GP Swann, CT Tremlett, JM Anderson

Australia A - M Klinger, AJ Doolan, UT Khawaja, SE Marsh, CJ Ferguson, GJ Maxwell, MC Henriques*, TD Paine†, BCJ Cutting, TA Copeland, JM Holland

That's pretty much my test team having an obvious trial for who will get the number 6 slot with bell at 5.

Looks like the start of a fine new opening partnership nice to see Cook hit some form, can't wait to hear what Warne's got to say about him now.

Don't let me stop you cutting and pasting your previous posts on your dislike of ODIs and the contempt for people who watch them Bob. It does get tiresome though.

I think it is quite clear that we all prefer test cricket over the shorter versions, but if there is a short version game on the idiot box it is most likely more entertaining than anything else on IMHO.

Each to their own I say ....
