    Well the Matildas cruised home.

I expected better from the scandihooligans, but they were pretty unimaginative.

So I wonder who England would prefer to face, Colombia or Jamaica?

^I think it could be classed as some form of minor official miracle that my first sight of the strange world of lady's football was a close-up of St Mary's Sacred Bottom

Quite a combative game this one. One shot on target the whole of the first half.

    Colombia 0-0 Jamaica.

Shall I have a nap before the penalties? I had a big lunch.

    Colombia take the lead 1-0.

Defensive error, probably the only way either of them would have scored.

Some of these Jamaican ladies would give St Mary a run for her money in the booty-stakes

Some of the scrawny prison-tatted Columbian girls look like drug-mules on prison-release

So Colombia win. They're a physical team, so it's a good job James isn't playing.

Will be interesting to see what ref they put on this game, as both teams aren't afraid to put it about.

An easy first goal from the French. Terrible defending.

As I was about to say 2-0 and the French are cruising it's now 3-0 and all but over.

A bit bizarre... Lauren James will miss England's QF due to suspension, but they will review the decision AFTER that game and could ban her for another two.

Seems a bit shit, so England will have to plan the next three games without her.

Not sure if it's bizarre. It was a straight red card, which can mean a 3 match suspension. Personally, I don't think it was bad enough to warrant that, it wasn't dangerous nor did it cause injury.

She should get just the one game, but we'll see.

^Trampling on an opponent while they are face down is frowned on. Even in the men’s game. Emotional - maybe. Out of character? Who knows. Which club side does she represent? Values and all that. Silly girl.

A Nigerian player got a straight red and was banned for one, and later three games.

So unless they're in forgiving mood - and in my book they shouldn't be - she won't play again this tournament.

Rubbish. Straight red card, 3 match ban. Was it a yellow? Of course not. Did it result in serious injury? No. Could it have? Yes. If FIFA do not give her a ban for 3 matches, what happens to the next individual who receives a straight red card with more serious consequences to the injured player?

It should be a 3 match ban. Much as FIFA isn't usually consistent, in this case they have to be. She deserves it end of.

Violent conduct = Straight red = three match ban. Anything otherwise and they are going to have to answer why her offence was any different to Abiodun's.
