A mixed bag of results yesterday, with Luton managing a fine win despite the ref trying to book our entire team.

The play-offs are pretty much beyond our grasp now, unless one of the teams 10 points ahead has a disaster in the last few games...

And I think its time to say 'cherio' to Crewe.

    Watford 1-1 Luton
Ahmet Brkovic's late leveller denies Watford to virtually end the hosts' automatic promotion chances.

    Good news there then.

    Wolves 2-2 Coventry

Wolves threw away a two-goal lead as their play-off hopes suffered a potentially fatal blow.

    Cardiff 2-5 Reading

Champions Reading remain on course to beat Sunderland's record Championship points total of 105 after holding off Cardiff at Ninian Park on Saturday.

    Ooops!

    Crewe 2-0 Sheff Wed

Crewe kept their hopes of an amazing escape alive with a win which drags Sheffield Wednesday back into the relegation dogfight.

Blimey! It's a 'ding-dong' battle at the bottom.

Still unlikely, Sheff Wed only need to win a couple of games and they're playing Brighton soon, but if we can win all our games we can go down with some pride.

    Have a guess!

It's been a cracking season and most of the teams have ebbed and flowed with only Reading and Sheff Utd being consistant for the whole season. Fuck that poncy European Premier League bollocks.

I would have been happy with 17th place pre-season... a shame that we have ponced up lately, couldn't believe I got to saw cardiff on telly in the irish bar against sheffied a couple of weeks ago.

A better prediction exercise might be "where do you think your team will finish next year?"
i'm going with low mid table.

    Remaining games:

    Sunday, 30 April 2006

    Coventry (11) v Cardiff (9) uh oh!
    Burnley (16) v Luton (10)

I think Luton will win and Coventry will either win or draw.

    Luton, Coventry, Cardiff.

yeah , the Coventry v. Cardiff game will be good - shame there's nothing to play for - except for TD ribbing purposes...

    I'll go for:
    1. Coventry
    2. Cardiff
    3. Luton

Nicka is well and truly buggered and Fozzie bear seems to have disappeared!

oh I see - I never thought of it in that way...

as a Rugby man can you tell me the difference between the Heinekin European cup (won by Munster) and the European Challenge cup?

I take it the challenge cup is like the Uefa cup with the other one the Champions league ...not sure really
