It's the cost opportunity of taking hits to bring in players one week early if they're replacing players that won't be scoring anyway. The -4 hits are offset by the points that come that wouldn't have anyway. Sometimes a -8 hit is free? And then you've got the regular transfer the next week to deal with whatever problems arise at that point.
