Evidence that the Lions think their shit don't stink.

He got a ribbon for sure, but it takes a team to win, and the Wales team is considerably stronger than him. There is a reason he was the only member of the dominant and better skilled Wales team that humiliated England, that was left behind....by the Welsh coaching set up that moved to the Lions....and it wasn't to let Wales keep him for the duration.

The worry is that if Sexton takes a knock, we might be stuck with him. Lets all hope that Wilko gets over his operation quickly.

Gatland has never picked Biggar, doesn't rate him. I must say i have never rated him that highly either, we have average 10s throughout, Priestland, Biggar, Morgan and the worst of all Hook. They are all just adequate every great moment has an opposite somewhere down the line.

We will never be a truly world class team until we get a top quality 10. Rhys Patchell is the next prospect, not seen enough of him so far but hear good things.

Saw Patchell against Japan - looked rather useful. Something amiss with UK rugby right now with the lack of decent FHs being produced.

Time to bring in the Gavlar I reckon. The Orange One returns to the fold, into the Lions squad, and wins the day.

Interesting, but it is slightly different to the cast iron leaked version I saw this morning from another source.

That had Slipper at 3.

Bench was faainga, kepu, MMM, Gill, Phipps, McCabe and Beale

Slipper has a much higher work rate around the park, can run and can keep it up all game. He would be my choice. Deans like him on the bench because he can play both sides of the scrum.

Waste of time having Phipps on the bench, any utility would be just as good if Genia is injured. I'd have Cummings there. Btw, 8 man benches now.

I am pretty impressed with the Lion's so far but nobody has really considered how good this Wallaby side is.

Apart from a silly mid-week hiccup against the Jocks they have been impressive including a draw against the All Blacks.

O'Conner's selection at stand off is a risk, I have never been a fan of Barnes and his goal kicking ability and we have the standard concerns about the front row but one thing the Lions don't have is a Genia.

If he plays well the Wallabies will wobble through.

I've seen a lot of Patchell for the Blues and he does look good. He is quite rare in that he's a 10 who can break the gain line with a nice step/dummy, not a bit like Farrell then, slight guffaw, you know, Patchell actually looks what's in front of him and is not scared to have a pop. International rugby is obviously a step up tho.

The only problem really is that he's ginger, but that didn't really hold back Martin, did it?


Bigggar is currently the best 10 in Wales/England/Scotland.

I think Berrick Barnes is a fantastic footballer. Very impressive when he comes up north.

Just as an aside, the Junior World Cup final match is between ....Wales and England. Wonder if it will be the same in 2015? lol

I think Berrick Barnes is a fantastic footballer. Very impressive when he comes up north.

Barnes is a hopeless tactician. Does ok at 12 but is too fragile to play there.
Between headknocks and cramps he can't play 80 minutes.
He's rugbys version of Shane Watson.

Is that so? I'm only going off what I've seen when he comes back to the motherland. He must up his game.

Williams was great though. And Best. He was superb.
