Up to 5. Very, very good so far.

^ Looks as though everyone thinks this is a great series, but I.

Finished the series though felt like I hardly cared what happened episode to episode. Billy Bob did a good job on his dark character living on the seedy side of Santa Monica, driving a convertible Mustang...oh what a sad life . Was it film noir or courtroom drama?

The whole thing seemed a bit disjointed to me. Worth watching, though and if I had to rate, 6/10.

Finally, a really good movie. "Eye In The Sky". Joint US/UK counter-terrorist drone operation in Africa. Raises some really interesting questions - taking out high-priority targets vs collateral damage. Makes ya think.

    9/10.

I intentionally didn't go deeper, as it stirs a range of emotions, and raises some moral issues, and I didn't want to put up spoilers. If other posters watch and like it, it might be worth discussing in the movie reviews thread at a later date.

'Quarry' is alternating between brilliant (E04) and somewhat contrived (E05)

One episode of brilliance in two seems like a good deal.

I remember watching that and it was very good. One of the few modern day War movies based on the kinda Homeland thing I suppose that are worth watching.

Another one was, and I forget the name, I'm sure someone will post it, is the true story of the 5 or so US seal guys in Libya (?) when the embassy comes under attack and Hilary Clinton refuses to send in the F-16's based in Italy, even for flybys to shit-up the attackers, as the boys are left to defend it all by themselves.

13 Hours. It was shite and contrived.

Watch "The Siege of Jadotville" instead.

I watched Room 237 last night, about all the hidden messages etc. in The Shining. Really quite amazing just how much of an acute genius Stanley Kubrick was.

Quickly download The Shining and 2001 to rewatch again.

I think it might have worked better as a theatrical piece. The attempt at generating suspense was somewhat over wrought and a tad mawkish for my tastes.

^Thought I'd found a new one, but it appears I'm a bit late to the party. Surprising that none of the regular contributors posted it before.

Decent copies of Sully have arrived (Korean subs).

    Decent film, too.

(Even though I thought Eastwood had shot his bolt).

"Eyewitness". A USA network offering, based on a Norwegian crime drama "Øyevitne" (looked for this, but could only find with Dutch subs).

It's 5 episodes into what will be a 10 episode first season.

    Trailer here:

    Bridget Jone's Baby

One of the bestest smile all the way through movies i have seen in a long time. None of your wars, blood, guts, sci-fi, super hero crap. A good feel good Brit humour film.

If you haven't seen the first two yet, don't bother, watch them first. And understand the Female psychie... If you can, at your advanced ages..

Loved it loved it loved it!!

Agreed. Didn't make it more than 15 minutes in. Binned all 5 episodes downloaded.

Appears to be quite trendy. "Shameless", which I used to like, has also started devoting much of each episode to gay sex.

The Girl on the Train (2016).

Convoluted chick flick with a feeble twist that's telegraphed a mile off.

    Don't bother.

That newsreader chick is sex on legs.
Mildly amusing but I still think it was one sequel too far.

It had run its course already back in 2003
