It was utterly shite (no spoilers)

I don't think the show is good and really never have thought that. One of those shows that I watch just because.
Still though, that episode. Fuck
i thought they went OTT with the gratuitous violence.Originally Posted by redhaze

it's not my favourite horror/zombie show by any means. i actually think Ash vs Evil Dead and The Strain are better.
It certainly was gratuitous. The show has snuffed out many longtime characters, but I suppose the way it went down combined with that aspect probably didn't help. It was just so freaking brutal and realistic. Almost hard to believe something like that could even be on TV. Can't say fuck or show boobs though still, so there's that.Originally Posted by Jofrey
"All The Way", a HBO production about the presidency of LBJ post JFK. Personally I found it really interesting, particularly in how LBJ tried and in large managed to pursue the policies of JFK. Brian Cranston plays LBJ, and whilst I can't vouch for the accuracy of his role, it seemed pretty good to me.
Must admit, having watched this, I have a great deal of respect for LBJ now, for what he actually did, rather than being the President who followed Kennedy.

LBJ was a criminal who might well have gone to jail if he has not become president, his first acts were to reverse some of JFK's decisions, including of course getting troops out of Vietnam, probably the USA's worst president. Even his long time mistress of 20 years implicated him in having prior knowledge of JFK's assassination.
Watching "Angela's Ashes". Extreme Irish poverty. It was one of the most depressing books I ever read....no idea why I expected the movie to be less so.
Like the book, well done....but it leaves you suicidal.
Excellent film of Roberto Durans life

"Goliath" is well worth it.
Watched 3/8 and it scores 8/10 for me so far.
Mind you, I watched them in the right order.

"Action In The North Atlantic". 1943. Heroes of the Merchant Marine. Bogart at his best.
Finally watched 'The Killing Fields' ...
Had lump in my throat at the end
I felt the same reading Wild Swans, by Jung Chang.
I read a section in a bookstore but decided to not read the whole thing....too distressing. But unfortunately it happened.
Perhaps one day I will read the better bits.

^I read that about 20 years ago. It is indeed a sad tale.
Foking Trainspotting 2 out in Jan.
Will bring back a lot of memories for some.![]()
^ Nice, i shall re-watch the first one again now
Thought the same.
But will wait til the weekend when I'm allowed to drink. -_-
Will have to watch it then again before going to see the new one. Though it does kind of look like half the scenes from the first are in the second one also.![]()
^And Sydney Schanberg just died last July.
YIFY Torrents hasn't been updated in three days. Anyone know why?
^ Didn't it get closed down last year?![]()
Dunno if 'Quarry' has been mentioned, but I just watched E01 and reckon it looks quite promising.
It's on kat
