    Yes it is.

But there are different kinds of sons (step, adopted, favorite, etc.),……………..the Pope wasn’t the biological father.

Blue Gold - World Water Wars

Documentary on the state of the worlds water supply and how it will be/is the next big commodity.

Very interesting and thought provoking film on how poorly we manage the most precious resource on the planet and how the multinational companies take advantage of its power.

    American Teen - Documentary

Follow 5 or so students at an Indiana high school in their last year, the jock, the nerd, the indie kid, the rich spoilt brat etc.
Interesting to see high school bullshit/politics in action rather than the Hollywood version although theres not much difference.

I suppose you could say that. I can't find a decent film at the moment so documentaries are filling in.

Terminator: Salvation - 8/10 Fun Movie - mind you think it would have been better as an R - rated movie. Plot - Meet John Connor in the future battling the machines. He is not the leader of the resistance, and he is targeted for death as well as a civilian named Kyle Reese. A mysterious man arrives who holds the key to the future as well as the past.

Forgot to mention - director of Terminator: Salvation cut a lot out of it including an extensive nude scene with Moon Bloodgood. The studio wanted to make the rating PG13 instead of an R in order to make more dosh for a wider audience.

The director said most likely all will be restored for the director's cut dvd.

    NIXON/FROST

The performance of NIXON was spectacular, not because of the resemblance of the character but by how it was "dense" and "emotional",

almost feeling sorry for poor NIXON, love that actor who did the performance, and here he was spectacular

    Crossing Over

Interesting film about American Immigrants trying to become American citizens. Bit of a thriller much in the same style as Traffic with immigrants instead of drugs.
Harrison Ford heads an impressive cast as an Immigration & Customs Police veteran who has sympathetic feelings towards the illegal immigrants he detains.

    Recommended 7/10

    The Chumscrubber

I found this after doing a search for Indie films, saw a few good reviews/recommendations on blogs and just downloaded it. Its one of those films I might have passed over if I'd seen the cast list and got to Glenn Close, not a big fan at all but she's great in this. Also has Carrie-Ann Moss and Ralph Fiennes along with some other familiar faces

The story is quite a mix of black comedy and a tale of weirdness within the upper class of American suburbia. A boy named Troy sells happy pills to his schoolfriends and most of the community residents have some sort of crutch/drug to get them through the day.

Theres some good performances and it switches between dark and semi serious quite well. An enjoyable 1h30's worth of something a bit different.

    Bronson

Based on the true story of Charles Bronson the UK's most well known prisoner.

The guy who plays Bronson, Tom Hardy, does pretty well although I wouldnt know how accurate his portrayal is. 1h 30 and watchable. If you're offended by the word [at][at][at][at] be prepared to block your ears every now and again.
