Good one Joe. I still though do not understand why so many British folks want to smother foods in saucy liquids. It appears you lot do not like food so you mask it in liquid or cheesy sauces. It's what parents do to children to get them to eat it or to stretch a meal to save money. Guess it carried on into adulthood.
Btw. You are about due to hit us with a pic of liquid beans on something.![]()
^ Front page of the Beankok Post today.
^Bakedkok Post actually![]()
^ oh man that could get ugly in Pattaya. All those pensioner Brits fighting for that last can of beans.![]()

I've got 1 can in a kitchen cupboard which represents 50% of the amount of cans I'd buy each year. The plan is to wait till there's a real shortage on and things are getting edgy around town, then drive down Beach Rd and throw it among the brittle coffin dodgers who sit there looking desolate each day and see if they get into a fight like Seagulls on a hot chip. Our man sausages could well be in among them duking it out
Anyway, a very simple but favourite home cooked dinner tonight of shake'n'bake pork chops, garlic mash, and sprouts.

^ You'd also be lost without beans, ketchup, gravy and shake n fukkin bake![]()

Shake-n-Bake.
Indeed.

I opted for peas today instead of beans to ease the shortage and pain of those who will sadly going without.
Homemade chips, gammon and garden peas...
A Mendy sized portion of peas really didn't cut the mustard so a 7/10 from me.
Would have been a solid 10 if I used baked beans.
I hope you appreciate my sacrifice!
Shalom
Couldn't give a fuck if brittle style beans disappeared off the face of the planet tomorrow, where as you'd be looking for the nearest cliff to drive your bus over. American style beans would be missed though.
So what was your dinner Jeff? Roscoe's or Popeye's? Taco Bell perhaps? We'll never know of course, wouldn't want anyone to see how your American heritage fucks up your fantasy of being a Thai living off grid eating a steady diet of water beetles and cassava![]()
What American beans are these?
The Mexican ones? Or their own version of Heinz which is full of Mollasses and nothing like the tomatoey sauce flavour one they make for us Brittles?
I doubt Stumpy or Snubby have tried the Brit version or they don't understand breakfasts without half a tub of syrup![]()
