She was kind enough to let me Shanghai some for the crew.
Quite the production process. I love the homemade sweet peanut sauce.
For the discerning Brits among us, Villa have started stocking the good stuff again.
There was a few years where they went too far East, and only stocked Japanese style curry sauces.
Glad to see that they have seen sense.
^Well there you go. I wanted to make a curry sometime this week and only noticed yesterday that Foodland don't stock Patak products anymore. Will have a look in Villa. Also, where did you get the Waitrose tartar sauce you used in the Manwhich thread?.
Got that one from Tops, around 190thb or so.
For Waitrose head to Central, Patts.
Heres all their products:
Waitrose - Import Product :: CENTRAL FOODHALL ::
That Villamarket is shit compared to Bangkoks. I never use it anymore
Thanks guys for the Tartare heads-up, will have a look in Tops or Centen. Foodland only carries Maille brand these days which is ok but not great, and stupidly priced even by don't give a fuck standards. I'd go for a run out to Siamburry's on the Darkside or The Corner Store in Hua Yai to see what they carry, but they're probably both shut for a week during the annual cull .
^ their phone numbers are on google maps
Here you go u lazy fukker

^ does FC stand for Food Court?
Busted.
Fried Chicken stand from out on the main road.
You can really taste the bus fumes.
...a good thing lamb shanks know how to swim...
Honey roast ham with cauliflower cheese, boiled spuds & beets.
^^^ That looks good, Lamb shank going on shopping list.
^^^
The sauce that accompanies the roasted cauliflower, Jack?
^Simple cheese sauce, poured onto cauliflower and put under the grill.
Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; whisk flour into butter until smooth.
Pour milk into butter mixture and stir with a wooden spoon to combine.
Cook and stir until mixture thickens, about 3 minutes.
Add cheddar cheese and stir until cheese is melted (about 3 mins).
^ disgusting
Finnaly had a night out wherein I took the missus to a place where years ago I felt a little Chinese, yes then she slapped me.
It started with a bit of wonton soup and a beer I've never had before. I give it a C- because I'm used to local brew.
