One of my favorite Thai dishes is Pad Sator.
Sator are known sometimes as stink beans and to many it is an acquired taste.
Cooked with minced shrimps and minced pork and lightly spiced it has an outstanding flavor
They seem to be in season and have made the way up from Southern Thailand where they are grown and most commonly eaten.
seen here in the pod form , these bad boys are around a meter in length
My wife also cooked a dish of Pad Gai Galee , Chicken in Yellow Indian Curry for you laymen out there ( speaking of laymen I'm sure someone can point out the slang meaning of Galee).
Rice was served being it has become such a commodity we try to ration it and let the toothless kids enjoy it sparingly.
So the old stink bean was enjoyed and hope you all have had the pleasure of trying some yourselves.
