Looks great. I make those from time to time myself. The bacon packet is upside down, but does it say "product of Zambia"?

My sister used to have a cooker a bit like that.

Well, she used to say it was ‘Barbie’s’.

Jalapeno poppers are delish. Anything wrapped in bacon is good. Wash those down with an ice cold beer.

Did you stuff them with Mozambique cheese before wrapping them in zebra bacon?

Yes, it did say "Zambia". Is that where Willy is now? I thought he lives in Malaysia? Or?

The jalapeńo poppers look great, KW!

I once made a similar thing - it's called "dynamite" here in PH. It's a street food.

We use the long chilis/ finger chilis - Capsicum annuum, accdg to Google (the ones used for "sinigang" soup). Some of them, I stuffed with Eden cheese (it's like a plasticky Kraft cheese). Some, I stuffed with sautéed minced pork. Then wrapped in spring roll (lumpia) wrapper and fried. The street food that hawkers sell are stuffed with cheese only, I think. They were good & my mom liked my efforts. I haven't repeated making them - can't be arsed at the moment. Lol. I'm also cutting back on fried foods.

going slightly more upmarket. Brie cheese, with garlic and seasoning surrounded by cherry tomatoes and some sliced bread. Heated until cheese is soft and bread is crunchy.

I thought so and if willy is back in Malaysia I can not imagine they would import bacon all the way from Africa. That would be crazy.

If you don't eat pork, you can use minced chicken. Sautée it with onion, garlic, S & P before using as stuffing. I fried the stuffed chilis, since they were wrapped with spring roll wrapper. I guess they could be air fried too but I haven't tried that (and I don't have an air fryer). I think you could use jalapeńo peppers for those too. For the cheese, you could prolly use any type of hard cheese.

@bsnub - your comment made me go TD-CSI on the bacon packaging. Lol.

Edit: here's the recipe link but you can do your own thing. After frying, the spring roll wrapper becomes crispy.

Homosexual activity in Zambia is illegal (imprisonment as punishment).

^Didn't Willy post some pics of their family holiday at a national park (in Africa) recently? At that time, I thought that it was a long way from Malaysia but also thought that maybe he just wanted to see some giraffes. Didn't think that he & family had relocated to Africa.

I think Eddo Cheddo is pulling TD's leg. AFAIK, Willy's wife is an Indonesian lady & they have 2 small kids (as per previous pics).

There’s plenty of Chinese Malaysians that do. In fact I used to love shopping at Ben’s Independent Grocer or B.I.G. because they had non halal section with all your pork products including some hot chiasu and pork belly. I would always buy 10Ringgits of pork belly to eat on the way home.

I occaisonally order an extra portion of Doner which i divi up and freeze. It comes in handy for an 8 minute beer snack when a few are hungry. I marry it with a 4 cheese frozen pizza which i splash liberally with franks hot sauce, grill for 5 minutes and add Doner.

    Auuuuhhhhhh

Trouble is one is never enough...

There's no need to zoom in or crop, the kitchen can't look worse than that.
