Internet via mobile phone in Java

    Hi there,
I am staying somewhere in the middle of nowhere, next internet cafe 35km away, next wlan access 70km. As there is no phoneline available I guess the only way to go online will be via mobile phone. My mobile works as a modem, so I won´t need an UMTS stick. In this area only Simpati/Telkomsel and "3" have a signal. Anybody has some experience with those providers? If I want to use the same card for going online that I use for calling do I need to register at their office first? If I am using a Bali number is it more expensive to use it in Java like it is when I am making a phone call? Which one is the cheaper provider? Would really appreciate any advices and experiences that you made/have.

Simpati/telkomsel have the widest coverage. Bali number should be same in java, unless it is a cheap CDMA phone and then it will only work in major cities

they do have GSM in Indo so I have heard , so your UTMS phone should have no troubles as long as it works on the Indo frequencies which I would assume are the world standard 2100 Mhz
