Chinese National Arrested for Indecent Act

A Chinese National was arrested after a complaint by a woman who caught him videoing under her skirt as she stepped on an escalator in a Pattaya department store.

Pattaya, 26th October 2010 [PDN] At 8.00pm a security guard from Central Festival Pattaya Beach, restrained Mr. Ho Meng-Ju [37] a Chinese national, after a complaint from a woman who caught the offender videoing under her skirt on his mobile phone as she stepped onto an escalator on the 3rd floor.
The offender Mr. Ho was handed over to Pattaya Police Investigator, Police Major Colonel Kraiwut Buakla, who examined the offenders phone to find several video clips of similar incidents taken of ladies with short skirts.

The offender appeared embarrassed about the situation, trying to convince the police and the victim that the clips were for his viewing only and not for publication.

The victim declined to sue him in response to his crime, but insisted that the images were deleted immediately to which he obliged.

He was ordered to apologise to the victim and charged for being a public nuisance and causing a disturbance before being fined up to 1,000baht for his crime.
