Iranian Tourist accused of murdering a Thai Woman in his South Pattaya hotel room
An Iranian Tourist has been arrested and charged with murder after a Thai Woman was found dead in his Hotel Room.
Late on Sunday Night, Pattaya City Security Officers found an Iranian Tourist who appeared intoxicated on Walking Street and offered to take him back to his Hotel.
They arrived at the Pattaya Hill Resort in South Pattaya and the man, later named as Mr. Saeed Dehghan aged 30, collapsed close to the front entrance.
He was then taken to his 4th floor room where the body of Khun Saifon aged 21 was found on the floor, next to the bed.
She was fully clothed and appeared to have marks around her neck consistent with strangulation.
Mr. Dehghan, who was still unconscious was arrested and taken to Hospital under Police escort, after Police Colonel Nantawoot, the Pattaya Police Chief arrived and determined he was the prime suspect in the woman’s apparent murder.
Staff at the hotel did mentioned that earlier in the night the pair were heard fighting inside the room.
Police are now waiting for Mr. Dehghan to recover enough so he can be interviewed.
