A 26-year-old British man, who was reported missing after losing contact with his family in Wales in March, was found safe in the southern province of Krabi today.
Thai Police found Daniel Davies alone in a hotel room on Maharat Road in Krabi’s Muang district. Davies told police that he has family problems and does not want his relatives to know his whereabouts.
According to the police, Davies had been in Krabi since February 22 and had changed hotels several times.
He had been staying at the hotel in which he was found since March 22. He had not been to Phi Phi Island, as earlier reported.
His family had sought help locating him, saying they lost contact with him on March 13 and that his mobile phone was turned off.
Several social media platforms, both Thai and English, had posted photos of Davies, who is from Llanelli in Wales, asking anyone who saw him to alert the police. His family had already filed a missing person report with the Welsh police.
