Chinese tourist goes missing at Sriracha Tiger Zoo

A combined force of 200 zoo employees, police, soldiers and district officials continued the search of a Chinese tourist after she went missing yesterday afternoon while visiting the Sriracha Tiger Zoo with her tour group.

Mrs Gao Li Ping, 35, in black sunglasses and hat, was wearing white shirt and red shorts when she went missing yesterday afternoon.

The last place she was seen in the CCTV camera of the zoo was at the pond of the zoo.

The pond is used to store water for use during the hot season.

Chonburi police commander Pol Maj Gen Ampol Buarabporn ruled out suicide theory with reason she might want to stay alone awhile for going to the pond by herself.

However the police have sought cooperation from divers to search for her to make sure she didn’t misstep and fall into the pond accidentally.

About time a tiger ate a Chinese rather than the other way around. Justice served.

Saw this story on the news this morning. Squalid-looking little place, with the Tigers all incarcerated in tiny cages.. Another shitty little Animal Auschwitz in Thailand, supplying parts to the Chink "traditional medicine" industry. Fukc em all.

They found her doing her laundry somewhere. Seen it on the news earlier, and she looked rather spaced out and saying she doesn't want to back to China...

Have you actually visited this zoo ? I have and was very impressed by the cleanliness and the the obvious care for all of the animals. This forum is meant to help others and spouting rubbish does not achieve that end.

Missing Chinese tiger zoo tourist found, safe

CHON BURI -- The Chinese woman who went missing while visiting Sriracha Tiger Zoo in Si Racha district on Sunday has been located, reports said.

The woman, Gao Li Ping, 35, was visiting the tiger zoo in a group of Chinese tourists when she disappeared on Sunday evening, prompting Nong Kham police, administrative, administrative officials and rescuers of a local charity foundation to launch a search for the woman on Sunday night and Monday, but to no avail.

The examination of the footage of 122 CCTV cameras at the zoo also revealed no trace of her.

The woman was finally found by local residents on Tuesday morning as she was washing her clothes on the bank of a canal, about four kilometres from the tiger zoo.

The woman appeared a little exhausted when found. The residents took a good care of her and informed the police.

She was expected to be taken by police for a physical examination and questioning later today.

A Chinese tour guide told police on Sunday that Ms Gao came was travelling with the tour group after breaking up with her husband and that she appeared to be under stress and often went off on her own.

Main part of story was that her husband went off with a ladyboy.

So, i decide to potter off and do my laundry in a river. Sneeky little pee and poo too. Like i am wont to do. Not thinking about anybody else.

Whilst sirens are sirening and frogmen are diving, and 200 soldiers are looking for me. Not forgetting, or maybe forgetting the total stress i have given to the tigers.

Because i may have been eaten by a tiger.

Sounds good to me. At least i got my moneys worth on my Adventure Holiday. Maybe i'll go to Thailands big jump at the Grand Canyon tomorrow.

In fact, they could catapult me across the Mekong into BLD's swimming pool. And i'd probably catch a beer in orbit!!

Silly woman, i hope she gets a fine.

Glad you enjoyed the freakshow. "Cleanliness and obvious care" is usually employed when nurturing high-end products for the market. This place is a farm, not a zoo. How fucking clueless are you?

But Victor Watkins of the World Society for the Protection of Animals (WSPA), said: "Behind the scenes there are hundreds more tigers being bred in appalling conditions. The park states that there are no more than 200-400 tigers there. But they are breeding lots of new cubs every year, which prove impossible to trace. They say they are being bred for zoos but we can find no evidence of that."
