Just walked back thru SC after going in the Robin Hood (Cornish cider 99 b a pint). Not been there for years and the Doll House is chained and locked and does smell of piss. SC in the day looks horrible, as are the women hanging about. Having to work there must depress anyone with an ounce of humanity. At our old condo in Bang Na a boiler room guy somehow got the job of managing the DH in Pattaya, he lasted about six months before going back to the boiler room scam.

Being a go-go bar owner in Thailand has to be a really tough way of earning a buck. RIP.

Met and had many an afternoon chatting with Darel when he and Andy opened up the Doll house in Clinton Plaza. Likeable sort to be around. Haven't seen him since Clinton Plaza disappeared but not surprised he succumbed, as have many, to the occupational hazard of owning a bar here.

Tough way to go. RIP.
