    Really, didn't know that.
    Any links?
there's was a few phones and at the time the police didn't know whose they were

...Wei Phyo, one of the two Burmese men charged with killing Mr Miller and fellow British tourist Hannah Witheridge, had admitted finding a phone on the beach on the night of the murder.
He said he picked it out of the sand some distance from the murder scene and took it home but he could not open it as it was locked with a passcode.
"The next day we heard about the murders and we were worried it might belong to someone involved," he told the court.
"My friend smashed up the phone and threw it into the undergrowth behind our hut."

Apparently that CSI LA chap is having the full video translated into Thai.
It needs translating and sharing sooner rather than later to have maximum effect.
Unfortunately i fear the 37min video translation will take too long and the momentum lost.(not the video above)

It took a lot of hate and anger and strength to reduce that pretty girl's face to the pic that most people cannot unsee. And also to kill a young man who was tall and fit.

I can't see those Burmese being able to do that.

I agree, whoever did that hated the girl and everything she represented to the killer.

As a result, perhaps, of having had an argument with her and her boyfriend earlier that day in a bar ?? As, perhaps, we heard happened ?

It seems that loss of face in Thailand usually requires over the top payback. And when done without fear of reprisal can be shocking and probably sends the right threat to others.

Anyone that's used one of those hoes would know doesn't matter the size of the person, the hoes are lethal

The majority of Asians that come from farming backgrounds use them on a day to day basis, and most can use them all day without much effort.

You seem to be overlooking the fact that the re-enactment and press conference held by the police in their cases is actually the trial convicting the arrested person and as such the smile is one celebrating another job well done.

Hannah's sister Laura Witheridge has released a statement. Good to see she hasn't been fooled by the Thai justice system. Painful to read, it gives some insight into the pain the family is feeling. It's on Drummond's site and elsewhere.

The deceased's sister attacks Thailand and its officials and says that Thais hate westerners

Hannah Witheridge's sister reveals court officials told parents to 'just make another one' | Daily Mail Online

Sister of murdered British backpacker Hannah Witheridge reveals court officials told her parents to 'just make another one' after she was raped and killed on Koh Tao
    • In a scathing attack on Thailand, Laura Witheridge called officials 'corrupt'
    • She said court officials made numerous callous comments to her family
    • Among them were they should not care and 'just make another' daughter
    • Another asked why they cared when she would be reincarnated in 30 days
    • She claimed these comments were proof many Thais 'hate' Westerners

Here's one of the comments from backpacker who clearly didn't stay in a tourist ghetto....

I agree with this article, as a backpacker out there in 2013 every day was spent trying to outwit the locals who would try and dupe us in some way by either giving us expensive menus instead of local menus, adding food onto bills we never had' , trying to get our luggage onto the wrong coach to rob us but I refused to.part with it, every day dodging and refusing tuk tuk drivers who would take you all round the houses to buy things instead of your destination and if you refuse to buy things the tuk tuk driver won't take you back to where you started, taxi drivers pretending to get lost and demanding more money, I was fuming every day and exhausted with it all. never ever will I return there I could not wait to get back to australia where even though super expensive you didn't have to look over your shoulder every 5 minutes
A few other comments that might get the Thais thinking

What I don't like about Thailand is the billion dollar sex industry. This needs to change.
They may not like westerners, but are still happy to take their money - some serious reforms are needed

She went on to reveal that she had received death threats 'from Thai people' since her sister's death and they had 'defaced photographs of me saying that the killers had only done "half the job".'

    here is the facebook post

    Laura Witheridge
    เมื่อวานนี้ เวลา 13:18 น. ·
So, as some of you may have already seen- there has been another death of yet another British National on koh tao. I wasn’t going to post anything, not until I logged on here this morning to see that a friend had shared the link warning people not to go there… it wasn’t the sharing of the link or the warning that triggered this lengthy status, as I hope people do share these things and try and warn people not to go… it was the ignorant comment someone had made about how Thailand is ‘the most beautiful place in the world’ that frustrated me this morning. Aesthetically, on a postcard or photograph, maybe… However, literally… I have to disagree. Lots of things ‘look’ beautiful. You only have to consider a lion, or tiger… beautiful to look at, yes… but get too close and they will tear you apart and feed you to their young. My point being that aesthetic beauty can lure you into a very dangerous trap.
Since Hannah was taken from us, I am continually asked whether I will warn the World about the dangers of Thailand… I am asked if I will warn people because I might just ‘save someone’s life’. This person’s comment serves as a perfect example of why I would be wasting my time. People can be ignorant and many, probably the majority, have very short memories. Countless times, I have logged in to facebook and seen statuses made by people who know both Hannah and I, who have gone out there anyway. They think it wont happen to them… Well, guess what? Neither did we. No one is immune. Many thai’s hate westeners and they have little to no regard for human life. I don’t say this lightly, or without reason. Let me share a few facts with you about this ‘beautiful’ place you speak of…
Would it surprise you if I told you that the thai’s view drug possession as a more serious offence than rape or murder? Or that the vast majority of the thai police force are corrupt? What if I told you that when we went to Thailand to bring Hannah home, we were offered the opportunity to go to the Royal Thai police headquarters for an ‘official update’… but that, on arrival, we were taken into a large room, left for 5 minutes before the door opened and around 200 journalists were allowed into the room and we were ambushed by this mob of hungry journalists shoving cameras in our faces… The thai police chief had no intentions of giving us an update… after all, the bungled investigation meant he had nothing to tell us. The invitation was merely an opportunity for the press to take photographs of our family. This link serves as evidence of this: "We need to digest the trial outcome," says Hannah Witheridge's family
What if I told you that since we lost Hannah there have been many more suspicious deaths on koh tao. You probably haven’t heard of them all, as not all were British Nationals. The deaths, where possible, are covered up as suicides and accidents. This would have happened with Hannah, if it had not been for the hideous brutality of her passing. I highly suspect that with this latest tragedy, the thai’s will say that it was an accidental death caused by drugs. Hiding the truth and offering a story that suits, is something that they do often… My thoughts are with Luke Miller's family and friends.
What if I told you that I have had many death threats from thai people since they murdered my sister? That they defaced photographs of me saying that the killers had only done ‘half the job’… what if I told you that people commented on these photographs saying things like ‘there is still time’, and ‘tick tock tick tock’. What if I told you that I have been sent crime scene photographs? What if I told you that I have been chased in my car? What if I told you that the thais offered us ‘compensation’? Obviously we were absolutely appalled and declined.
What if I told you that I am now frightened of my own shadow? That I am constantly looking over my shoulder? That I am exhausted, but frightened to sleep because of the nightmares? I miss my sister desperately. My heart is heavy and my mind is tired.
Still think Thailand is beautiful? If your answer is still ‘yes’ then I would suggest you watch the following:

It's hard to believe that she was told all that directly by an official and only brought it up when she's got back to UK
If she was so upset about that at the time why not mention it to someone and try and make a proper official complaint, instead of sharing it on fucking facebook

Wonder how many likes she got for that, that was probably more important to her
