Premiums: Tennessee men face 290% increase, women 197%...

    TRIPLES KY FAMILY'S INSURANCE OVERNIGHT...

Obamacare will fall apart on its own. Nothing this flawed is going to last.

Of course, if this is your lifestyle - meet Obamacare's wedding tax:

“Better off divorced and shacking up.”

More good news for Florida Residents.

From a Broward (the county just north of Miami-Dade) paper the Sun-Sentinel.

Federal report shows regional costs for Obamacare vary, depending on competition in the marketplace and differences in medical costs. - Sun Sentinel

"Take a family of four in Fort Lauderdale, with an income of $50,000 per year. The lowest cost bronze plan would cost only $24 per month with the tax credit," said Gary Cohen, director of the federal Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight.

That premium would be even lower --$18 a month – for a family of four in Palm Beach County but higher in Orlando -- $126 per month. Cohen said regional costs vary depending on competition in the marketplace and differences in medical costs.

The figures released Tuesday give Florida consumers the first indication of what they'll face when the controversial new health-care law takes full effect next year.

    snip

In Orlando, a 27-year-old with an income of $25,000 would pay $225 a month for a silver plan, but only $145 after applying a tax credit. A family of four with an income of $50,000 would pay $816 for a silver plan, but only $282 with a tax credit.

In Broward County, that same 27-year-old would pay $199 a month for a silver plan, but only $145 with the tax credit. The family of four would pay $722 for a silver plan, or $282 after applying a tax credit.

In Palm Beach County, the 27-year-old would pay $220 for a silver plan, or $145 after the tax credit. The family would pay $797, or $282 after the credit.

"It seems like the big boogeyman – the idea that premiums are going to go up by as much as 35 or 40 percent -- is still in the closet," said Karen Woodall, a proponent of the law and director of The Florida Center for Fiscal and Economic Policy. "These preliminary numbers indicate that the costs will go down dramatically, especially if you factor in the broader coverage."

Consumers can find information about the new law and how to enroll in plans at www.Healthcare.gov.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

Meanwhile, in the real world, we see some more of ObamaCare's Sticker Shock.
Based on a Manhattan Institute analysis of the HHS numbers, Obamacare will increase underlying insurance rates for younger men by an average of 97 to 99 percent, and for younger women by an average of 55 to 62 percent. Worst off is North Carolina, which will see individual-market rates triple for women, and quadruple for men.

The map for females (at the link) is somewhat less red. But it's plenty pink.

For some reason I think most of the people on TD who are against Obama's plan are old people and those for it are mostly younger. I wish the old folks who oppose healthcare could just sign off of all government programs such as medicare and the rest of it. They are total hypocrites.

^^ Bunk data from a poisoned source. Avik Roy wrote this trash he is affiliated with The Manhattan Institute which is affiliated with the front group ALEC. ALEC is a corporate bill mill. It is not just a lobby or a front group; it is much more powerful than that. Through ALEC, corporations hand state legislators their wishlists to benefit their bottom line. Corporations fund almost all of ALEC's operations.

    Indeed.

That's what got Liberals heads exploding yesterday when Ted Cruz read the letter from the Teamsters outlining how 'dissatisfied' they were with this train wreck called Obamacare. The Unions figure (rightly) they were lied to - led down the garden path to get out the vote for this failed community rabble-rouser and now he doesn't need their vote in future, he's basically shit-caned these unions along with the rest of America as well in his misguided quest for that Socialist Utopia.

On reading further data on Obamacare it would appear you are not far off the mark, but consider this, has it never occurred to you that the Employers and big Unions huge concerns are ill founded and in comparison to some TD experts on the subject they are a bunch of deluded cretins

I have looked it up. No answer.

The funding - taxpayer money? - this is a disaster, then.

Insurance companies? Medicare A,B,C,D is bad enough.

    Doctors? How?

    Clinics? Hospitals?

You have listed 4 different places the "funding" is going.

    Train crash waiting to happen.

You pay insurance now, yes? Where does that money go? Primarily to make a lot of insurance and pharmaceutical companies wealthy.

Precisely where or what is this looming catastrophe? Must be a talking point to repeat endlessly, since you already admitted that you have no information about the plan or how it works.

Check this out. Obamacare Navigators won't have to pass background checks before culling your personal data like SS#, health records, sexual activity etc.

Grinding your teeth yet? If not, let Ben Swann tell you more:

No- it has been the Law now, for four years or so. That the 'political party' you espouse has been wasting taxpayers money, and denigrating the US government in this futile pursuit is something I leave between yourself, your vote, and your conscience.

Either way- the modern US government is a sick joke. But I do not find it remotely funny.

So, it's a 'Law' but a bad one.

You want some ex-con who can't pass a background check handling your private details?

Obama Lied. My Health Plan Died

"Like an estimated 22 million other Americans, I am a self-employed small-business owner who buys health insurance for my family directly on the individual market. We have a high-deductible PPO plan that allows us to choose from a wide range of doctors.

Or rather, we had such a plan. Last week, our family received notice from Anthem BlueCross BlueShield of Colorado that we can no longer keep the plan we like because of “changes from health care reform (also called the Affordable Care Act or ACA).” The letter informed us that “(t)o meet the requirements of the new laws, your current plan can no longer be continued beyond your 2014 renewal date.”
In short: Obama lied. My health plan died."

    Read the whole thing here

This Beast called Obamacare is going to have huge ramifications...

^ He didn't lie that assclown is having his shitty plan replaced by a better one but he is a Repubtard and is committed to seeing ACA fail even if he has to lie about his insurance. It just shows the mentality of these people.

I have a similar plan to the liar above and I am going to get a far better plan come the new year. My deductible will go down by $7500 and I will be paying less.

    Stop the lies.

Says a citizen of the USA, the only first world country that doesn't have a health care system.
Says a voter for the party that lost the last two presidential elections- except of course you were sure they would win the last one.
Says a person that comes from a country that pays over douible the rest of the advanced world for incomplete and basically shite healthcare.

Damn, I do like living in this upside down world of mine. Why was it you signed on to the Thai governments healthcare scheme again?

Have you the Tabien Baan Leung (Yellow Book)?

That's the prerequisite for gaining that so-called 'Gold Card' which isn't a card at all but a document showing you are in the Thai Government Hospital System.

And, before I start to get another load of shit on why I've got the 'Gold Card' blah, blah, blah - again, I've used it twice for outpatient Rx of which I had to pay so there - it's Bush's fault and you're a Racist!

Republicans are just crooks, liars, and hypocrites. That's why you find them complaining about healthcare when they are on medicare or getting discounted Thai healthcare. It's also why they attack gays when they are getting bjs from men at rest stops. It's also why they get Americans killed in Iraq for imaginary weapons and threats. It's also why their states get the most welfare while they complain about welfare. There's no story here. Republicans have no morals or dignity.

You don't have to take it, BM. You can choose the private hospitals and clinics. You are not contributing a thing to Thailand so really you are just a hypocrite by taking socialist healthcare. You choose to seek it out while other longterm folks here chose to pay for better service from private hospitals. You went out of your way to get socialist healthcare when you could have supported the capitalist system here in Thailand. It's total hypocrisy but it's also very normal for right wingers to be this way.
