I don't think the 747 really flies as a favour to the Qataris.

They may have been unsuccessful in trying to sell it due to its unique configuration. But if they had instead been offering to give it away for free to anyone who wants it I doubt if it would have sat on the tarmac for 5 years.

The market for a custom 747 with bedrooms and offices is pretty small. I think a super-power presidential plane is about the only market and the US is maybe the only country that uses 747s in this manner. It seems like an understandable avenue to give it to the US government to curry diplomatic favour, which I am not really seeing as corruption.

That's because you're as thick as shit.

You probably think the millions they're spending on his fucking shitcoin are just for good will, or because you think it's a great investment.

Lets assume for arguments sake that I have rice pudding between my ears (I do eat quite a lot of it - it is only $1.20 a tin in Coles and so delicious). How would you explain to someone thusly debilitated by dairy delights why Trump's actions in relation to the Qatari 747 are corrupt?

So far you have merely repeated the assertion but not offered any rationale as to why the action is corrupt.

To be corrupt Trump has to be making a personal gain out of the transaction. What is the gain, as you see it?

Let's assume this is true. How would you explain to a shit-for-brains in simple terms what Trump's nefarious gain is in the 747 saga to corroborate the corruption contention?

During the 2016 debate, Trump criticized Clinton for accepting donations from countries with poor human rights records, stating that some of these countries "kill women and treat women horribly" and "push gays off buildings". He also implied that these donations could have been a form of influence peddling. For example, in a June 2016 Facebook post, he called on Clinton to return money from Saudi Arabia and other countries that he said oppress women and kill gays. He claimed the Clinton Foundation accepted as much as $60 million from Middle Eastern countries that oppress women, gays, and people of different faiths. It is worth noting that Trump's rhetoric on this issue was sometimes seen as contradictory to his own business dealings and evolving policies towards some of the same countries he criticized. There has also been scrutiny of potential conflicts of interest regarding Trump's own business interests in the Middle East.

Don't forget the $2Bn his son in law got from Saudi.

The orange junta takes lots of favours from Saudi Arabia.

Only Looper thinks there isn't an underlying motive from the blood drenched MBS.

If that's so, many Americans voted as if it isn't an important issue. Tens of millions of Americans think their interests have not been recognized nor promoted by mainstream politicians. The Dems ignored them (again) but Mr. Trump didn't. Americans were even happy to overlook Mr. Trump's multiple felony convictions.

I have amended the First Rule of Speakers Corner Fight Club:

1.b You cannot just post a link to a youtube or an article or a blog post as your rationale. You have to put your argument in your own words.

But since this is a new amendment I watched your youtube. I don't see how this spoof video of Trump interviewing himself explains anything. If you would like to clarify then I am happy to respond.

This seems to be alleging that accepting the plane is politically unsavoury, given Qatar's human rights record. But the allegation under examination is not one of unsavouriness, it is one of corruption. To be corrupt Trump has to be making personal gain from the 747 transaction. What is the personal gain?

My understanding is that the 747 is from Qatar, not SA. To support a charge of corruption you need to demonstrate that Trump has made a covert personal benefit from accepting the 747.

Not quite. Mr. Starmer was initially very deferential to Trump. Just like Mrs. May and Mr. Blair (Yo, Blair). It's the British government's default position with the US. Thankfully King Charles, the King of Canada, is stepping in behind Canada.

Fact: Mr. Trump easily beat Karmala. Fact: most Americans don't give a fxck about Bonesaw chopping up dissidents. That's a Washington Post and New York Times issue. Fact: most voters didn't care much about Mr. Trump's convictions. An MSM issue. The corrupt, incompetent, lazy, senile and, personailty disordered felon, Mr. Trump, plays politics better than the MSM and the Dems. He must have been one of the worst ever candidates for POTUS yet he still won.

Exactly what are these "interests" that you speak of? Because I doubt these people you speak of could even answer that question.

bsnub, I think dignity and economic are the principal ones. The Trump voters could name economic interests but like many struggle to find another word for dignity. I saw a youtube video where a Harvard political scientist recounted going down an elevator in a hotel in Florida with a woman from Iowa. They exchanged civil pleasantries, mentioning where they were from (he didn't mention Harvard). Unprompted she said could read and mentioned that people in Iowa didn't like people on the coasts. I think in a later interview he mentioned dignity is the issue. The Dems and their supporters need to treat their opponents with more dignity if they are to experience greater electoral success. The best Democratic politicians such as Pete Buttigieg recognize this. Voting Trump is a fxck you to the elites or perhaps more importantly a fxck you to the elites' supporters. In swing states Dem supporters need to learn to be more civil. This is very difficult for them since they are so snobby about their education.

Economic interests - the standard of living for the average joe in main street has barely improved in decades. I understand the Dems and Republicans told those American workers thrown on the globalization scrapheap to learn coding. There's a lot of frustration about living standards not improving.

Trump is a total fraud who knows how to play to people's grievances. He was popping up all over social media fanning the grievance flames. He has a finely tuned ear for grievances. He picked up what was happening among men and their loss of dignity.

I think you might overestimate racism. Asian American women and white American men are the most popular groups on dating apps in the US. People, other than white women, will happily seek intimate relationships with people from other races.
