The English can wave their increasingly tatty union jack as much as they want but there will be no renaissance of the fishing industry, an industry exceeded in value by the English mushroom cultivation. If they want to buy back into the industry they'll have to stump up with some serious dosh for the privilege.
Anyway, it is now looking likely services are to be excluded in the negotiations given The Bangla has definitively ruled out any alignment with EU regulations. So, goodbye to banking passporting and £30 billions of euro trade settlements in the EU by the City, and the death knell tolling for the end of frictionless trade has just been rung. So, goodbye to BMW, PSA and no doubt Toyota and Nissan..and of course Airbus.
Honestly, the sheer stupidity of this is beyond belief.
