The reason why, eventually, Britain will reverse its decision to leave the EU.

The British people now realise they were duped into Brexit, realise that, like Farage, Johnson and Gove were fakes and that Brexit has given nothing but more pain and suffering.

The Tories have been destroyed by their minority ERG fuckwits and it will take years to repair the damage. It is only a matter of time before Labour sees sense and allows the will of the people to prevail, that Brexit was a horrible mistake and the UK is better off in the EU.

And yet no one has learned anything new because you shared this important opinion.

But you're not for or against BREXIT, and certainly not a tory voter.

That might account for your disinterest.

Only 51.89% voted to leave the EU, hardly a large enough majority on a non-binding referendum to push for a major shift in policy. However, that's what happened. Now polls suggest a steady shift towards Brexit being a mistake and I expect that steady shift to increase further as the true costs of Brexit come to light.

Yes, the EU was moving ever closer to the left but that is changing and I expect it to reverse some policies. For example, I have always been opposed to the ridiculous working hour rules and the idea that "it's a position not a person" doctrine that has caused a steady decline in industry. The working rules are made to look like they are helping workers when in fact they are being (ab)used by big companies to maximise profits at the expense of the workforce.

BUT, for all its problems, and as SA continually tries to explain, the market is too big a loss to bear for the UK. The politics can be influenced and changed and is continually being modified to align with the countries involved.

The idea that the UK has taken back control or has better trade prospects outside the EU is just plain bollocks.

    The bottom line.

Particularly evident in the complete clusterfvk they've made of immigration.

And now are setting records in fairly well every 'worst in EU' category . . . you can petition your government to begin 'Dexit' proceedings. I'm sure Dames will prosper afterwards.

A very good piece by the FT, still valid after 9 months of airing.

How anyone can still say Brexit was a brilliant idea and well executed and how 'free' Brits are now . . . delusional.

It always was delusional. A campaign mounted by dinosaurs, bigots, charlatans, shills, the malicious and the merely addled convinced a significant proportion of the electorate comprising the stupid, the ignorant, the ill informed, the credulous and the vacuous into believing a wholly negative act would yield a positive outcome for one and all bestowing riches and an unending freedom to prance about on sun dappled uplands on gilded unicorns.

Of course it was a daft fantasy and could never come to pass given that 50% of our entire manufacturing output contribution to GDP was traded with our continental neighbours a mere 22 miles distant, commerce that was entirely unfettered by any bureaucracy or other impediment.

Never mind the loss of freedoms to an entire new generation of Brits barred from an integration with 450 million others who share pretty much all our cultural hallmarks, ideals and christian ethics.

Never mind the loss of an employment pool that underpinned the success of the Briti#h leisure and hospitality industry.

Never mind the loss of our fishing rights.

Never mind the loss of the cultural exchange of our creative talents.

Never mind…….ah, fuck it, the English simply aren’t worth it.

But yet again, what is it the English can now sell to the world that they couldn’t before Brexit?

    Stupid fucks.

You dull witted fool, given many of us derive incomes denominated in £ Sterling I rather think the significance of the Brexit effect on exchange rates, 20% devaluation against most currencies, is as obvious as the growth on your neck hence our continuing interest.

You’re so fucking stupid you could be Welsh, or a coon.

I see the British press is now full of reports concerning my other Brexit forecast, in addition to the collapse in Sterling and the contraction in growth of GDP, namely the return of stagflation. I said all this would happen back in 2016 and it has. The Mail of course being the rabid ERG cocksucker that it is has said it is as a consequence of “ Covid” but no one with a functioning brain believes that twaddle.
The Brexit dividend just keeps on giving.
Poor Tax, didn’t the chump say it would be all fine and dandy after a year or two.
