Brexit: Merkel vows to fight for orderly process
    https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47629229

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has said she will fight for an "orderly Brexit" until "the very last hour".

Mrs Merkel said that current events were in a "state of flux", adding that European Union leaders will try to react to whatever the UK proposes.

The UK is due to leave the EU in 10 days with or without a deal.

PM Theresa May is writing to European Council President Donald Tusk to ask for an extension to the process and will meet EU leaders later this week.

At home, a new vote on UK Brexit deal has been blocked by the Speaker of the House of Commons, John Bercow.

The deal has already been defeated twice by MPs, and Mr Bercow has ruled that Mrs May cannot bring it back for a third vote without "substantial" changes.

Anyone else following the Leave campaign trail from Sunderland to London? I thought a few TD Brexiteers might have joined the masses...

Apparently it is around 50 hard core followers with a few day trippers swelling the numbers (to ~100). No Farage since the first hour, but I'm sure he'll pop back if the numbers swell.

Not quite a Wat Tyler, our Farage, but I'd like the same outcome.

    All rather pathetic really....

Meanwhile the Leedsom witch is having a meltdown over the cabinet being full of remainers...she'd best resign before getting kicked out.

    Worth a read:

The Chaotic Triumph of Arron Banks, the “Bad Boy of Brexit”

.......Banks’s wife, Katya, is Russian. A prominent “ambassador” for Leave.EU, Jim Mellon, whom Banks has described as a “friend and business partner,” made much of his money by investing in Russia. (A representative for Mellon denied that Mellon has had a “close business or professional relationship” with Banks.) Banks’s 2016 memoir, “The Bad Boys of Brexit,” acknowledges that before the referendum campaign he met with Russian officials, including Alexander Yakovenko, the Russian Ambassador to London.......

The EU has said Britain cannot delay Brexit without a clear plan for what happens next, indicating only an election, a new referendum or major compromise on Theresa May’s red lines will suffice.

No I didn't miss it; in fact if you had woken from your stupor that day you may have noticed I posted the vid, and followed through by dissing her words vs reality.

Unlikely, though you may also have noticed Juncker nodding politely, to cement her lies as truth; but that's expected nowadays, seeing as he's owned by the German hcancellor...oops, another tipo for your mate squirrel to chase.

he has got to be surprised at how easy it was

I saw a video the other day talking about what will be Putins next move - as his popularity is waning a bit and always in the past he has used a bit of military expansion to bolster the fans

the option put forward was a bit of expansion into Finland or Sweden

You referred to him as the Attorney General.
    I post on TD.
Surely you should be asking him, no?

    How are you feeling today?

I trust you don't like those figures, which obviously means they're fake. But figures, charts, lists and other data that you post are not faked and massaged but real because you posted them, isn't that a fact?

Ftr I don't even read much of what you post, it's the same long winded repetitive crap baying at the moon with fake poetic license, gets quite tedious after a while. And you use long words, even the Belgian knows I had difficulty graduating from K3.

I can only hope one country will veto the frigging extension or maybe all the 27 will for good measure since Maybot will have brought nothing new to justify an extension

she strutted into my office wearing a dress that clung to her like clingfilm to a sloppily butchered pork knuckle, bone and sinew jutting and lurching asymmetrically beneath its folds, the tightness exaggerating the granularity of the suet and causing what little palatable meat there was to sweat, its transparency the thief of imagination.

Frau will capitulate next week, she can't afford to lose us; quite aside from the economics it is simply unfair to leave a collective suicide pact.

Not saying I agree, but if he chose that route surely it would be Estonia first, small enough to roll over before breakfast, though significant enough to test NATO mettle until the EU army is up and running (sic).

Well the bolded part is what they've said, of course.

It's more likely imo that representatives of no. 10 will privately admit what is obvious to everyone. They will say behind closed doors that the country is in crisis. They've tacitly admitted this already.

This 'you must have a plan before getting an extension' thing is just political posturing imo.

So May will go there with a fudge that constitutes a 'plan' in her vacant mind, and the bosses will wearily assent.

Comparing how many military bases in abroad has the dangerous Mr. Putin against the number of those controlled by USA and NATO, it will not be an easy job, will be?

^^ Apparently the Maybot is going to the EU with the plan of a short extension to end of June, while she gets her deal through Parliament, with the option to extend longer.

She should be asking for a 5 year delay, until the next EU parliament elections, with an option to leave earlier if her deal is ever agreed.
