I suppose not, no. But the question was whether a Clinton admin. would have favored Wall Street at the expense of the average American, and the answer to that is still yes.

Just an observation, but it seems as if Dodd-Frank hasn't hurt Wall Street one iota, the markets have basically never been stronger. We continue to be in the midst of a historically unprecedented bull run. However for some people constraint of greed in any form is deemed the enemy. Hell, it might help profit by reducing risk but it will always be opposed by someone looking to pull some nonsense.

For some, its just never enough.

Pretty ridiculous that Clinton was not able to differentiate herself from Trump in these matters; it probably cost her the election. Hell, Trump actually managed to run to Clinton's left on Wall Street, which is really laughably pathetic and tells you everything about why Clinton got beat by the second worst candidate in history.

...agree: professional whiners from JPMorgan, Goldman et al. regularly appear on the financial channels to bemoan all the paperwork they're forced to complete just to satisfy Washington bureaucrats...if only the banks could be set free from unfair regulations to create jobs and improve living standards for all Americans...and Trump is just the mixologist to prepare the koolaid...drink up, folks!...

It was never intended to. It was to stop them gambling recklessly with the taxpayer's money, and provides oversight to make sure they aren't trying to do it under the table.

Goldman Sachs want their $5 Billion back.

    Yes. I think that's what I said.

Democrats wouldn't do anything to intentionally hurt Wall Street. Wall Street funds their campaigns and future careers.

It probably says that they are retarded and don't even know how to represent the broader interests of their constituents (and by that I mean Wall Street as a whole, as opposed to the subsector of Wall Street who are paying them to vastly increase systemic risk on Wall Street).

Politics is fucking dumb. Mix it with stupid levels of greed and you've got the perfect crap sandwich of idiocy.

The origin of the Trump insult ?shitgibbon,? revealed.

"In an article last Thursday, I looked at the rise of the colorful Trumpian epithet shitgibbon. The word first hit it big last June when Donald Trump was called a “tiny fingered, Cheeto-faced, ferret wearing shitgibbon” on Twitter, and then made an even bigger splash last week when Pennsylvania state senator Daylin Leach called the president a “fascist, loofa-faced, shit-gibbon.” But where did this exquisite creation come from, originally?

Some have assumed it must be Scottish, since the June insult came at the height of backlash against Trump’s visit to Scotland, where he was lambasted for his tonedeaf comments about the Brexit vote. But that tweet actually came from an Englishman, one who goes by MetalOllie on Twitter (and will only reveal that his first name is Darren due to online death threats)".

Another nail in the EO coffin. From Virgina.

"A United States district judge has ruled President Donald Trump's executive order on immigration violates the Constitution and has granted a preliminary injunction against the order, according to court documents.

In the document, U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema said there is evidence that the president’s travel ban violates the First and Fifth Amendments and would cause "irreparable injury" to Virginia residents, Virginia institutions and persons connected to those persons and institutions."

Of course, but that's still missing half the story. The other half is contained in the "huh?" part of your comment.

Read Matt Taibbi's writings on the Great American Bubble Machine, Vampire Squids and so on if you really truly think what I'm saying doesn't make sense.

Wall Street is not some monolitic interest group. There are competing factions who will eat each other alive and take down the whole system simply because a) they don't give a shit (see the 2008 housing bubble crash as one very obvious example) b)it serves their interests to do so.

They don't even give a fuck about each other.

No disputing that, but the bottom line is that they will all do anything to make money and need regulating.

The swamp deeper than ya thought Mr. Trump.

“We were shocked and dismayed to learn this evening of reports that three weeks ago, U.S. law enforcement officials warned the White House Counsel that General Flynn had provided false information to the public about his communications with the Russian government, but that the Trump Administration apparently did nothing about it,” the two said in a statement.

“The reality is General Flynn was unfit to be the National Security Advisor, and should have been dismissed three weeks ago.

“Now, we in Congress need to know who authorized his actions, permitted them, and continued to let him have access to our most sensitive national security information despite knowing these risks. We need to know who else within the White House is a current and ongoing risk to our national security,” the statement continued."

    The next big question....

Is it an impeachable offense that Trump allowed the guy on his team, knowing full well what happened...

there are some who think that establishment republicans are lying in wait for the right moment to strike. they've already got what they wanted (and more) from trump and now they're just looking to get rid of him.

i don't think this particular scandal is it.

    1) it's a little murky and not clear cut enough to sell to the rabid rubes in red states.
    2) 1 month is too soon.

    i posted this earlier.....i think he's out of office spring/summer 2018.

    HAHAHAHA

Fox are blaming Yates for the whole Flynn mess.

They're like Thai hookers getting shitty when they're caught cheating on the idiot sponsors.

Your national adviser being vulnerable to blackmail is only a threat if the public find out!

What a bunch of fucking numpties.
