Jimmy is hardly one of the presidential performers from American history, but he was that last president the US had before it all started going wrong for the 99% of Americans who are not in the 1% club.

Jimmy Carter is a wise man and a great man (IMO).
I would say an average to below average President, but that was 4 years and since when he left office in 1980 - which was 35 years ago, he's done great things and also added quality commentary.
As former presidents go in the US, he a notable statesman and he has put a lot of effort into it... probably making up for what he sees as an underperforming presidency.
