I have to say that during the 80's my dislike for thatcher was every bit as heart felt as that being demonstrated by mao, yaso etc. Now whilst I don't subscribe to the hypocrisy of not saying anything bad about the dead, I think one should out of basic decency and respect for the families need to grieve... one should wait until after the funeral before publicly laying into the dead. unfortunately andrew drummand is far from alone in lacking these social manners.

I would say its the sense of proportion that would allow someone see this hyperbole in associating thatcher and reagan with the likes of mao, hitler and starlin. But don't worry tom your far from alone in having this problem, piwanoi for example even, worse cannot even tell the difference between the britsh labour party and the communism.... and seems to be suffering from over exposure to the daily mail and has decided that dogma should override reality every day.

History has already remembered Maggie and she will be remembered for a long time to come - Wilson in comparison barely gets a mention in modern studies.
