Ollie is a Patriot in the sense he was able (along w/Ronald Reagan) to free them I-Rainian hostages, eh?
...'nuff said 'bout Jimmah
Which involved giving them weapons. Way to send a message, arm your enemies! :rolleyes:Quote:

I stand to be corrected Boon,
but I thought that Iran-Contra occurred during the mid-80s, after Congress had halted financial support for the Contras. That's when Reagan circumvented it using the arm sales.
The American hostages were released the day of Reagan's inauguration in January of 1981.
and boonie calls him a patriot.Quote:

the point boonie, is that north is a criminal and the voters of VA saw that clearly. it's only far right radicals like yourself who continue to lionize north and attempt gloss over his crimes.
Drug running and illegal arms trading not fit your definition of "criminal" then Booners? :rolleyes:Quote:

As has been pointed out it didn't seem to hold much water with the majority of Virginia voters. 'Virginian Values', eh.Quote:

"The crisis ended with the signing of the Algiers Accords in Algeria on January 19, 1981. The hostages were formally released into United States custody the following day, just minutes after the new American president Ronald Reagan was sworn in."

Why do so many of you go on as if the release of the Hostages was a triumph of the Reagan administration- it had nothing to do with him, hell he had not even taken his seat in the Oval Office when the deal was thrashed out.
^^
A crushing loss, to hear it be told.
So you're basing your comment that: "It took a guy like Ollie & Ronald Reagan backing him up to get the job done" on what you guess what the Iranians would've guessed that Reagan would've possibly done... At a guess. :rolleyes:Quote:
