The UK must not follow the US
It's clearly set up for another war... The Syrian government seem to be winning, the Iranians are not playing ball; bomb (and invade?)...
stupid Holland is falling for it too, he is a traitor, same as Sarko
Oh good. Just what we needed *ANOTHER* Syria thread.....
As sad as it all is ( orphans, dead babies, limbs blown off, burns, etc.etc.etc.) it is through violent unrest that democracies are eventually forged, so best let them get on with it until a winner is declared.
Then, and only then, if the winner is not to the wests liking, should the west intervene.
I don't get it. Yep, poison gas sucks. But why is it the US's obligation to once again jump in. I didn't get it for Iraq, I don't get it for Syria, and whateverthefuck Afghanistan was meant to prove, that was doomed from the beginning. It's not like the US doesn't have several thousand vats of malodorous shit on its own shores to clean up. I don't get it.
I,m not very happy about this at all !
3 years ago I bought an L E D telly to reduce my carbon footprint ,, I do hope when Iran releases the bombs its not gonna wipe out all the good work I have done :flameme:
Oil.......what else. I do not see the Americans and British running off to the Congo to sort out the problems there and many millions have been killed there but I guess that the Congo does not have the huge oil reserves that Iran has. This Syria gig is all about Iran and the strategic/economic interests of the west,it has nothing whatsoever to do with a humanitarian crisis,if it did then the west would have bombed the crap out of Israel /Congo/North Korea years ago.
Would have been a fantastic run for our US+UK military if we were still in Iraq.
Imagine it all those tanks crossing the border.
Our tech is infinity superior - Tanks + Attack Helos with infrared sensors, guided missiles, all connected via data link.
It's like playing a computer game on cheat mode!
Thats right. Abrams tanks have a touch screen in them for the kill. Pretty fucking cool eh.

Might as well put some of this hardware to work:chitown:
the reason for the US wanting to go in is the Chemi bomb?
i am really worried about this,
if they think they will just go there and fuck the place like iraq and afgha, they are wrong, they will get a much stronger response from Syria,
Iran and Russia has sold them earlier this year missile defense systems and also jets,
Russia and Iran will not be drawn in at all, they are waiting for the day the US is at it's weakest point and then strike and kill that NWO, for good
French, Other Europeans, Arabs Demand The US Bomb Syria
Life is far too ridiculous to even bother to explain."European and Arab nations joined Tuesday to condemn Syrian dictator Bashar Assad for gassing his own people as the United States pondered possible military action in its first direct intervention in the Syrian civil war.
France, the United Kingdom and the Arab League said Syria must be held responsible for the attack.
"France is ready to punish those who took the decision to gas the innocent," French President Francois Hollande told a meeting in Paris of French ambassadors."
Let the cheese-eating surrender monkeys bomb Syria themselves if that's what turns 'em on. France is willing to fight this war until the last American standing...
United Nations Security Council Resolution 1441 is a United Nations Security Council resolution adopted unanimously by the United Nations Security Council on 8 November 2002, offering Iraq under Saddam Hussein "a final opportunity to comply with its disarmament obligations" that had been set out in several previous resolutions (Resolution 660, Resolution 661, Resolution 678, Resolution 686, Resolution 687, Resolution 688, Resolution 707, Resolution 715, Resolution 986, and Resolution 1284). [1]
On 8 November 2002, the Security Council passed Resolution 1441 by a unanimous 15–0 vote; Russia, China, France, and Arab countries such as Syria voted in favor, giving Resolution 1441 wider support than even the 1990 Gulf War resolution.
Oh so cool is it? konttQuote:

Sorry for all the innocents getting killed but it is not in our national security interest so why get involved, let Russia sort it out even if it means helping Assad kill all the opposition who are probably mostly Islamic nut jobs
Just call it a big win for McCain. He goaded Obama into his stupid 'red line' remarks and now he is being shamed into action over an issue of no strategic importance to US interests. There can be no good outcome from US retaliation. Let it burn itself out without the US mucking things up even more.
I find it incredulous that UK parliament should be recalled because of a civil/religious war in a far off land.
Did the Assyrians offer help in 1644?
Still waiting for a single shred of evidence from the combined might of the US & EU and their presstitutes that the Syrian Army committed this atrocity. Nothing, except vapid politicians saying "we have evidence". So show us some- anything at all. One single shred. Pleez, pretty pleez. Otherwise, it is as obvious as the lines on my palm they don't have any.
No one is denying that nerve gas was used, almost certainly sarin. Personally, I would not condemn limited strikes on military targets- probably focused on the so called 'Revolutionary Guard' if credible evidence was produced. Not that I think it would do any good or effect any outcomes, but thats not really the point- this is a war crime and a serious one at that. The perpetrators deserve to be punished.
But the evidence just keeps mounting that it was not the Syrian Army, while all we can jointly produce is rhetoric from sleazebags. I remind you again, not accompanied by one single shred of evidence. A summary-
-There is no common sense justification for the Syrian forces have resorted to using gas, quite the opposite. They are winning. Whooping ass actually, to use the vernacular.
-Domestic support for the rebellion has dropped precipitously. It is likely that most of the fighting is now being done by foreign jihadists, with foreign guns and foreign money. There is legitimate domestic opposition to the Assad regime- but they are not in with the jihadists. Syria is a country with several different faiths and sects, allowed to practise their religion freely. So you're winning (ne' won) the domestic battle of hearts and minds, as well as the military struggle, and now the government would gas it's own people? That surely doesn't smell right.
-Overwhelming evidence is that the rebels used sarin gas in the previous attacks. This from the UN. Yet now our dogs of war are saying the rebels don't have any? Piffle.
-The presstitutes say that the UN convoy sent to inspect was shot at in a 'buffer zone'. A bit late though- the area had already been described as rebel held territory.
-The attacks took place just a few km from where the UN Inspection team was already staying. Like, d'uhh- ya think the Syrian Army would be so compliant, so knuckleheaded? That sure doesn't pass any sniff test.
- Damascus is not a rebel stronghold, quite the opposite. The Syrian Army using chemical weapons in a suburb of the capitol, where a good amount of Syria's educated, affluent, secular etc live? it beggars belief.
-The missiles used can in no way be ascribed to the Syrian army, either. Call that a 'lack of' evidence then, I suppose the perpetrators would wish to cover their tracks.
- Our governments are already discounting the effects and validity of any UN investigation. Does that smell like an honest approach to you?
-And, most recently (an overnight discovery on my part) we have this-
Rebel Free Syrian Army spokesman Louay Almokdad denied that rebels had use chemical weapons.
That doesn’t square with a video uploaded on August 23, 2013, in which Free Syrian operatives threatened to launch chemical weapons:
‫
A day later, on August 24th, a video was uploaded and featured on facebook that purports to show Syrian rebels loading what very well may be a rocket armed with some sort of chemical agent. The tip of the rocket is armed with a light blue tank or canister that very well contains a nerve agent. At the end of this video, two separate launches of these rockets can be seen:
This video from a Syrian TV news report claims to show chemicals (some of labels on these chemicals are in English) and weapons seized by the Syrian government in the rebel stronghold of Jobar. Note at the :10 mark a label that reads:
“Saudi Factory for Chlorine and Alkalies”
‫
Here is a link to the article-
Evidence: Syrian Rebels used Chemical Weapons (not Assad) | Walid ShoebatWalid Shoebat
(I am no fan of this Walid Shoebat btw, but those Youtubes are hardly consistent with our government war loaded rhetoric, they directly implicate the Islamist rebels)
Unless our lot are withholding evidence- and why would they?, it is pretty obvious where the weight of evidence lies at the moment. Every shred of available evidence, not to mention plain common sense and the facts on the ground, point to the rebels as being the perpetrators.
To say the least, this is rather important. Critically important. To use some mendacious excuse to bomb a foreign country is bad enough, but to do so to assist the perpetrators of a chemical attack is more than unconscionable, it is downright evil. We join Pol Pot, Adolf Hitler, Stalin, Saddam etc in historys shame gallery. That is not a place our people want to be. The vast majority of our people do not want this attack either- as in a massive majority. Permission or mandate is not being sought from the UN either. Our governments are totally out of control. Hate to say it (or even think about it), but should our people be quietly preparing for revolution? To bring a government down, all people have to do is literally nothing. Just sit down, and do absolutely nothing, a la' Gandhi. Some way must be found to get our governments reporting to the population again, anyway. This has gone beyond concerning.
And at the end of the day, where is your bloody evidence, where is the Beef? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Unbelievable.
don't worry yankee boy it's only a question of time:)Quote:

Here's an idea..why don't we just let all the mutherfucken middleasterners kill each other and then we could just walk in an take the oil?
we all have problems mate- deeply concerning ones at that.
they didn't do fcuk all when this happened https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hama_massacre
about the same time as the us was assisting saddam to gas the iranian buildup that would have crushed his empire
us and europe have been supporting all the scumbags in the region for years and pandering for their relations ,"business partners " and children .
War means weapons. Weapons mean business. Business means profit. America cant pay it's current bills. A nice war would bring in a lot of business.Quote:

Assad the younger, in contrast, was considered a liberalising influence on Syria. He was an opthalmologist practising and educated in London, his wife an investment banker with Morgan Stanley, thoroughly secular- even has a London accent. Whether that remains the case, with this largely foreign funded rebellion, is open to question- certainly events like this tend to play into the hands of the military.

I guess my post went right over your head, an easy thing to do it seems. The oil is in Iran of course as I pointed out, this war is about Iran, Syria is a friend of Iran and the west needs to knock it out. The Americans have had plans to do this for at least a decade.
Oh, just the small stuff. Missed it completely. Green on the way if I can.Quote:
