I don't really see how they are going to profit from your death, unless they have some legal claim on your money when you are dead. As has been said if your that worried don't go there, plenty of other places to go in Thailand it not like women were difficult to find or something.

You can't buy protection for yourself as you have'nt a clue who reliable.

If it's a woman doing this find out as much as you can about her, what are her weak spots ? where does she live ? what family she has ? who does she care about? is her house made out of inflamable materiel ? either go to her home town or get someone else to and get some nice pic's and send them by e-mail to her. Or you could really pull out all the stops and just tell her that if you die sudenly you'll come back and haunt her forever

you can rent some policemen from another province, here in korat you get 2 motorbike cops company for 7k Thb a day... ( + Gazolaokao + Vat if you need bill, not many can write when you come to this point...)

one will bike in front of you walking on walking street the other in the back, but your still vulnerable from the sides !!
