Motel in Pattaya?

Where is an affordable motel in pattaya that is right near all the action. I am planning a trip to thailand sometime in the near future. any advice would be appreiated.

Your best bet would be to simply look around when you get there. It's not like there's a shortage of places to stay in Pattaya, for every kind of budget.

And these days, Pattaya's like a ghost town. I was there last weekend, I've never seen anything like it in the 7 years I've been here.

Some sort of budget would be appreciated. Pattayas full of cheap places, plenty of good deals around.

the Queen Victoria Inn, soi 6, is about as close to the action you have in mind as you can get- outside your window. two types of rooms, 500 bht basic 800 bht deluxe, both airconned. decent pub/ restaurant too.

How much action do you need. Soi 6 might be a bit much.

Foe a week or two I would recommend Lek Villas, just after dolphin roundabout in the beginning of naklua rd. Very nice swimming pool area and airy open reseption area. 6/7000 a week. Good place is your planning to relax, have a girl to play with. Close to some nice gyms.
Close to some upscale eating as it is on the edge of wong amat.
If your plan is to sit in bars all day maybe something closer to ws or soi bukao.
Also in Soi 4? Mike resort and so on, a quiet nice soi you have about 5 good options 1000/1400 bt
or have a look in wong amat, the upcoming area.
qiuet nice little trafic. On the top of soi 16 , with AD project 3,naklua I had a nice room , good quality construction,airy,new,26 m2, mostly thais 7000 bt month. Even my thai friend think its good value, she rents there with her two kids and recommended it to me.
