Pattaya Soi 7 Bars and Restaurants

Soi 7 is a tiny little one way Soi between Soi 8 and Center Road, and Soi 6 is a bloody long walk away.

If your into beer bars then this place is probably worth a visit, mainly because it is close to Soi 8 which has a better selection of more established beer bars.

Anyway if you drive here by car you aint going to be able to park in the Soi as it is too narrow, so drive in about 30 meters, take a left and park in the Flipper Lodge car park, have to bung the security guard some money though.

They have 2 English Restaurant pubs in the Soi, Rosie O Gradys and the Pig and Whistle, both have air con, the OLaLa is an Italian Restaurant, but, is this Soi worth coming to? Yep, they got a Mexican Restaurant called Tequila Reef Cantina which is pretty good and 2 agogo bars, Goldfingers has been going for a few years but is a bit mediocre, although since the last time I went there it has supposedly been renovated, wonder if they renovated some of the older gogo girls, still it's a nice friendly no hassle place so worth a visit, plus the manager moved all his ladyboy staff to his Stringfellows a go go in Soi Yamato I believe so you should be safe from making that mistake.

Some lovely Beer Bars down Soi 7.

The end beer bar in this picture is called, "Only fools and horses" I can only assume that the owner is English.

Silver Star A GoGo is having its grand opening tonight supposedly, not sure if the builder knows that or not though as they are still in there.

Can anybody comment, from experience, on the quality of the food in this establishment?

The Tequila Reef is pretty good, it's better done out than the Blue Parrot and also is air con, but I think the food is better at the Blue Parrot, but only just.

Worthy of mention is 'Lek Bar. First bar on right from beach Rd.
Lek who runs the bar with Charlie, her english husband. Has to be the most hospitable host in Pattaya. No girls i'm afraid for offer here, just pure no hassle, chill.
Charlies music selection is the most varied I have come across in Thailand.
Lek lived in UK for 9 years and speaks the most colorful cockney/english.
She also makes the finest stew anywhere outside of Ireland.
Used to be a bar called , 'After That Bar' was the biggest bar in the soi. Owned by an Aussie. He partnered up with one of his staff, made her cashier and moved her into his big house he had built.
She doped him up one night ( he was unconsious for two days ) cleaned his house contents out including safe with his gold & loot.
This nasty piece of shit now runs the 'Lovehearts bar' In between soi 7 and central Rd. Thai's took over the 'After That Bar' split it into two bars and has been crap ever since.

It's good -- I went in there about a year ago with this French bird who was trying to bang me at the time. Anyway, I don't remember what I had but the margaritas were dirt cheap at 100-150 baht (back home they're about 300-500 baht). I had two of them and don't remember much after that.

It's like a soap opera round soi 7 and 8. Got to admit being English meself I have nothing but contempt for some of the miserable fools marrying in to run these cheap bars. He deserved all he got and still hasn't learnt his lesson. Crazy stuff.

Went there with a couple of mates in January. The whole aim of the visit was to drown ourselves in frozen margaritas (which we did successfully if the hangovers the following day were anything to go by !!)

Anyhow, some blotting paper was needed during the session and we ordered various snacks (please don't ask for specifics) and from memory they were all quite tasty !!
