Seems like cool season might be over early, as predicted.
Yeah Cyrille. It's 19c in AM and 32c midday. Not to bad but it's warming up fast.
I did some mods and tuning to the ATV late yesterday and finished this morning. I adjusted the suspension, removed back wheel spacer then adjusted toe in on the front to be at 'Zero". I then took a local mountain run on some farming roads.
All set and ready to go
Roads are bit dry and quite dusty but fun to be out. I stopped at the local Temple to relax. Peacefully quiet in these parts. I took various GoPro vids but one where I cut through some farm paths then came up on a herd of cows was funny. The Thai guy was very nice and was quite interested in the ATV as I slowly navigated in and around his cows. Below is the YT vid

Some great countryside. Those cows didn't much care to move at all for you.
Thanks DW. It's quiet relaxing just riding around on old trails and remote farmer roads. At the top of the mountain has a beauty view of the valley.
The cows paid me no attention. Just sort of kept on the road.
Oh man Snubs...that entire area becomes a swamp which for living probably sucks, but blazing through there on my ATV will be a blast. I have mapped out numerous trails in the flats and up in the mountains. There will be video's once the rainy season gets here. I will also be going on a few ATV/UTV get togethers near Tak.
Beauty mornings right now. About 16/17c in Am, crystal blue skies. Did my pool vacuum while Sandy took a nap. Had some NBA on so was listening and watching the game.
Another week in the books. Been an interesting one for sure. So my FIL is getting better and I have encouraged him to go walk to the local river front park and sit with the other local guys that get up early and fish. While his 3 daughters tend to yell at him, I try to get him to go off and socialize.
Yesterday my wife got bit by a neighbors dog. Not a soi dog, She has been helping this older lady who is ill and lives next door to us. Anyway she has 2 of those yippy ass shih tzu mutts and when my wife was walking up to the front door to check on her, one went a bit whacko and tore up her ankle. Now mind you, I have zero tolerance for dogs that do that shit and would have punted the lil fkr into a neighboring province, my wife didn't. So she returned home whining about being bit. I said, "Put some antiseptic stuff on it and next time wear jeans instead of shorts". Well one thing about Thailand, everybody seems to worry about rabies. So my wife was worried. I said "Ask her if she vaccinated her mutts" She called her and she said she did. Of course my wife didn't believe here so off to the hospital we go. So in these parts, unless you have hard docs that your dogs have been vaccinated, nobody believes they were. My wife got 4 shots at the bite mark location and 1 in each arm and has to go back and get 2 more every 2 weeks for month..
Of course I laughed. I mean this lady has had them rodent mutts for years and none have been diagnosed with rabies nor have they ever exhibited rabies signs.
Upside, govt hospital, No office visit fees, 46bht for shots and meds and done.
More on a personal note and nothing really to do with living in the North, I finished a few days of calls with HR at the company I am currently employed with. We discussed opportunities and options. I will be finishing up an EOL ( End of Life) for the current automotive lighting product around May/June. At this juncture the President and COO do not want me to retire. We discussed a few positions available but I am not really interested.
One is located in a way out in a prefecture in Japan. Its where one of our next gen products will be launched and built. While it sounded interesting it is 4+ hours out of Tokyo by train and where the manufacturing facility is, there is basically nothing around. They could work out a 2 weeks there and 2 weeks back here set up but from what I am told, nobody speaks a lick of English at the factory so they would hire me a translator. I said. Naaaaah.
Second option which had me laughing was we have a CM in Korat. We may move another one of our products out of China there. I immediately said Nope, been there...done that have the T shirts to prove it. I got a good taste of Korat working for a huge CM there as a GM, I would never go back. Trek home to my house is 10+ hours and I just do not have any interest.
So I will retire which they understood. We did agree to keep the door open for future opportunities.
Looking forward, Its been an interesting run for the last 5 years. Covid changed everything for me and now having worked at home for 3+ years its like I am already retired and have my hobbies, activities and things I do. The transition will be easy. While I will miss the pay check, I am at the point now where I am just cruising along anyway enjoying life.
So about 6 more months and we call it a career. Yeeeehaw.![]()
Sounds like it's time for a cold one.
Cheers!

All considered Mendy, the factory is out by Seagate in the Korat industrial park. Still a 3+ hr ride to BKK. When I mentioned it to my wife, I got that cross-eyed "Really" look. I was hoping maybe something in Rayong but... nope. The primary customer is there. Nice factory.
So I will pull up a chair and relax.![]()
