    Alarm Clocks NE Isaan Style.

Well Show me yours and I'll show you mine! Is it a Giant Gheko? or a Lizard? How Long do they live? They have unusual hooded eyes and electric blue spots and are quite pretty...they also seem to be able to change color to some degree for camoflage!

This one is about the size of a "blue tongue" sleepy lizzard, and is quite happy hanging upside down or climbing vertical surfaces !
I would be interested to know more about these recent residents of our new house!! The locals are divided in two schools of thought! One lot want to eat them .....(The same people that eat anything that moves)..just because they can....And a second lot that say they are getting rare, and are good luck ...connected to past spirits living on this particular piece of land and old house site! I must say if they are the previous spirits ..I sure wish they would "sleep in" now and then! Generally they can hang upside down from anywhere and are the noisiest creatures for their size I have ever come across. When the "big one" (the happy male I bet" blows himself up" and lets fly with a "FUUCK>>>YUOOO"..... you can hear him (I'm guessing it's a him!)....a kilometer away at the end of the farm...Unfortunately he does this about 5.10am most mornings as soon as the very first streaks of daylight are visible...and also when he is wrong...and the moon has just risen! He takes great delight in positioning himself right outside my upstairs bedroom wall and I think must definately be a spirit who "missed out" often or else was just an over enthusiastic very early riser!

I think this one is probably a female as it is a different shape, although still quite large.

They seem extremely happy with the security lighting I have installed and the huge food source they attract..... and seem to sleep later now since I think they "guts themselves out" on the numerous flying insects and bugs that are attracted to even the yellow lamps! The downside is they crap huge amounts of dry dung that fortunately seems very well digested, and is dry without smell! Probably terrific fertilizer!

Somtamslap.....Your Cock is covered in lice! Where has your cock been? Has it been really in the "Doodle Doo" ? I wouldn't sleep anywhere near a cock like that! I think he has been out whoring with the neighbours from hell! You should really keep your cock in better shape and try to get rid of his affliction. He is obviuosly not related to my neighbours cock as he dotes on his, cuddling it and cleaning it's teeth with a feather the other day! OOPS forgot! Yep....that was the one he was so proud of a few weeks ago.....had the run of the house almost!... ...had won over 2,500 Bt......the one they ate the other night....after he lost!

Thanks DD for the info on Tokay Gheko's.....Well ours must be well fed and happy, as they haven't been the slightest bit agro yet...but already have to many snakes about, so if they encourage snakes they might be getting re-located sooner rather than later!....spirits or no spirits! I will have to find them somewhere better than my place...that might be hard...I think that's why they moved in! The prospect of hundreds of babies in the ceiling is not good!....Maybe my neighboring farmer will have eaten them by the time I return with a bit of luck!

I suspect that we humans would also find sleep difficult if we had a Starfish stuck on our heads and labia permanently hanging from our mouths. Gotta feel for the poor bugger really.

Just a tad, which is why i'm not quoting the bottom one of the speakers.

Its not Thailand, but in Vietnam, there are early morning [4 ish] loud drabble of the voice of Vietnam. Now that certainly would wake you up!

The neighbours alarm clock goes off every few minutes, and mostly from 3am to all day, particularly around 5am when folks start to move outside.

One day I'm going to kill it. I tried once, but failed miserably.

And what do you know, the fucking chinkies eat them.

The Tokay Gecko or Toko is quickly becoming a threatened species in The Philippines because of indiscriminate hunting. Collecting, transporting and trading geckos without a license can be punishable by up to twelve years in jail and a fine of up to 1,000,000 pesos under Republic Act 9147 in addition to other applicable international laws. However, the trade runs unchecked due to the sheer number of illegal traders and reports of lucrative deals. Chinese buyers and other foreign nationals are rumored to pay thousands of dollars for large specimens, reportedly because of their alleged medicinal value or as commodities in the illegal wildlife trade.
