Thread: Finally Joined

Hello everyone. I have been a regular visitor to LOS and reading TD for about 15 years and finally decided to join so that I may take part in the banter here instead of just enjoying the reading. Living in Florida but married to a Thai for 11 years. . Would live there but spouse likes it here. Retired soldier and discovered Thailand while vacationiing from work in Afghanistan. Happy to be aboard and looking forward to contributing.

Thanks for the many welcomes. I think Beetle Bailey and I are almost the same age. Have enjoyed the postings of so many of you that I would be very difficult to identify anyone as the best poster although there are oh so many bullshitters here. I do love the picture posts and have enjoyed Slap a lot. I'll be around and will look around for some pics to post. Will be off to Europe in April and making a road trip to Alaska in June before thinking about another trip to the LOS.

Thanks, BLD. Surprised that anyone would be interested in Afghanistan. Nothing at all there worth fighting for and certainly nothing worth dying for. Even my interpreter had a theory about the development of the country. He told me that after the Lord created the world, he had a pile of worthless rocks left over, and, with these, he created Afghanistan. Spot on.
