    "Hello There Ladies And Gentlemen"

Hello Everybody, this is my first post on the Teak Door website.
Recently I have spent three years (more or less) in The Land Of 5 Miles. Firstly living with a lady in Pattaya, who, whilst very nice, had a huge gambling problem (cards) which eventually finished the relationship. Then I spent two years living with a lady in Udon Thani. I am currently back in Yorkshire trying to cobble enough money together to get back out there.
My user name refers to the legendary American rock band. Football, I follow Leeds United and Osotspa M-150 Saraburi but prefer Rugby League (Halifax) and American Football (Houston Texans).
My replies will probably be quite slow as I am not online at the moment so use the local library for internet access.
Thankyou for allowing me onto your website.
    Cheers Everybody..

I don't know if they can be considered legendary but not a bad live band with a few quirky hits.

    Welcome to the forum.

Welcome aboard. Didnt cheap trick have a fat guy in the band? And the Texans, you are talking to a Niner fan, who also tries to follow the former great Raiders. Enjoy.

The "fat guy" I am guessing is the drummer Bun E. Carlos. They are currently touring with Daxx Nielsen on drums due to Bun E. having back problems which limited their live sets to 45 minutes.
I chose to follow Houston in the early eighties when I read an article about the worst team in the NFL recruiting Warren Moon from Edmonton to turn around their fortunes. Gerry Glanville, "The House Of Pain", I loved the Oilers and still miss them. The Texans seem to have a good side this season.

Surely you should now be supporting the Tennessee Titans.....

No, I know what you are saying, but being British I never really got my head around just moving the whole franchise to another City. Tennessee took the Houston Oilers from me and I could not forgive them for that.
I probably want the Titans to lose more than I do the Cowboys.
The only time anything like this has happened in England was when Wimbledon F.C. were uprooted and moved to Milton Keynes becoming the M.K. Dons. They are now generally disliked by most football fans.
It is probably just an English sense of betrayal, but I could never follow Tennessee.

Fair enough and that's how I'd see it, although it's be a British sense of betrayal as far as I was concerned.

Fair point, "a British sense of betrayal.."
Well, until Yorkshire becomes a Republic, obviously..
