The fuel cap, oddly enough, seems to be at the back. On top of the rear fender/wheel arch.
The rider is surposed to have on his back, with a quick-snap connection...Originally Posted by peterpan

Vtwins do have somthing special, took the 916 for a run last week, but the slipper clutch is a bit foked and at 55K for a new one thats how it will stay for a while. It will only run for 5 laps amd then stops. Took it To Ducatisti, the duke dealers in BKK, what a shower of shit those bastards are, I would have done better taking it to Somchai the wave mechanic.
Still thats what you get when you take it to a guy who owns the Ducati shop but Daddy won't let him ride a M/C.
Always wanted one when I was younger but could only afford the 900SS and 600SL bother were good bikes and took a beating the 600 was starting to jump out of second when I sold it and the 900 would chew out the clutch if you were rough on it. I think you were ment to get about 10K out of a clutch and I was getting through them in 3k.Originally Posted by peterpan
I looked at a few a while back in Bangkok but decided there wasnt enough back up service but now I think about it there isnt really any sort of back up service for any motorcycle up here anyway
I went into the BMW dealer in BKK and had a look at the service dept, they were well equipped, every bit of diognostic equipment available, buit the head mech was a bonzo. He was trying to sort a problem on one of those covered M/C things, it was obvious what the problem was. but he was boxed. I asked him, did you have any training in Germany, no he replied, I only speak Thai. Has any one from BMW been out here, He said yes, but he only arrived here at 2pm each day and was still too pissed from the nite before to do anything and he went home after 2 weeks. I asked him whgat did he do before ? reply was that he worked in the spare parts department.
Well, when hes finished working on the customers bikes, he will know where to put all those bits that he has left overOriginally Posted by peterpan
I almost bought a 888 back in 1994, but changed my mind in the last minute, it still haunts me if it was the right thing to do..Originally Posted by Rigger

Rigger. You don't think that the Waken might have been inspired by this modern classic (well, it was modern, in my youth!)
Egli Vincent
Defiantly the same idea of sticking a hi powered v twin into a light weight frame
If only messers Harley and Davidson had thought of thatOriginally Posted by Rigger
Hell bells, the Waken looks like it stole the whole design from the Vincent.
Yeh ok if you had a shop you could charge people to adjust their standard ECU but not as good as the Powercommander set up IMO. With the new set up I can change maps while riding and data log as well as store as many maps as I like and if I ever get serous I could connect a air shift and it would change up for me as well while you just stay on the gas .Originally Posted by mrsquirrel
There is some nice gear on that other link but pity about the price as I would love a fully digital dash
Yes I have read all of that stuff but its not as bad as that guy says there is a few guys on there that say they have hit the rev limiter many times with no ill affect and hit the nos by accident while idling with no ill affects. But yeh I will take care. And most of them are running a different system to what I will be runningOriginally Posted by mrsquirrel
Just think if I blew it up it would be a good excuse to build a really fast motor
They must have come up with that design, when they were high on LCD or Crack.Originally Posted by Eliminator
If it did blow I would probably go buy a second hand busa as all the MPS and Dynojet gear will plug striaght inOriginally Posted by mrsquirrel
