Problems with Payments to True Visions

I was wondering if any others out there are have problems with making payments to True Vision I pay 2000 baht a month for Platinum service and all have been well for years you just go into your local True Vision shop or in my case the agent which is Telewiz . On the 10th od September I received my standard bill from them telling me
" We Would like to advise that your monthy subscription is due to expiry on the 07 th of October , Your renewal and payment in amount of Baht 2.000.00 within 01 October 2015 .In order to continue to enjoy an uninterrupted service and avoid disconnection of your signal kindly ensure payment of your monthly fee by the due date .A renewal request lodged after your signal disconnection will be levied a signal re-connection fee of Baht 300 and the one month fee advanced payment "

So on the 23rd of September I paid the total amount of 8000 baht thinking this would cover the 4 months Well 4 x 2 = 8 Within a few hours of making the payment I received 3 phone from truevision telling me that I had to pay a extra 1200 baht to cover the cost of 300 Baht to reconnect my system at the start of each month , " why pay for reconnecting when the system is already connect since the account is current . Within a few hours of making the payment I had 3 phone calls asking me to pay a extra 1200 Baht to cover the cost of re-Connection 4 times " By now you may be getting very confused " ?

Well I sent many emails to find out what the problem was but had no reply so on the 7th of October my account was blocked . I returned to the local true vision agent only to be told they wanted the extra 1200 Baht for re-connection 4 times its very clear this is a scam but I did get my 8000.00 Baht back . I was wonder if this is just me there trying this scam on or is there others .

If you want to make a payment they only have these payment plans .

    1. month
    Subscription fee 2000 Baht
    Reconnection fee 300 Baht
    Grand total 2300 Baht

    3. months
    Subscription fee 6000 Baht
    Reconnection fee 300 Baht
    Grand total 6300 Baht

    6. months
    Subscription fee 12000 Baht
    Reconnection fee 0 Baht
    Grand total 12000 Baht

    12. months
    Subscription fee 24.000 Baht
    Reconnection fee 0 Baht
    Grand total 24.000 Baht

Anything than the above means they will require a extra 300 Baht per month so in my case it was 4 Months 4 x 300 = 1200 Baht or if you want to pay 11 months in advanced the grand total will be Subscription 22.000 with a 11 x 300 Baht on top of that = 3300 with the Grand Total of 25.300 .

So what do you get for this extra 300 Baht a month ? " Zero " ! is it just me there trying this scam on or are there others out there having the same problems .

True are a disgusting inept company always on the rob. There is no way you should have paid 4 months in advance and instead paying the bastards at the last possible minute at 7/11.

exactly, and for me its always 2 months I owe as I refuse to pay those robbers for service in advance which is the way their billing is set up. Next month I will owe for two months. Due on the 24th. The 23rd on the way home from work I will pay at the local 7/11.

Yes its very clear that in the future there is no point in paying in advance as its clear the more money you pay them the more they want . If you pay at 7/11 you have to pay a extra charge on top of the Sub and reconnection fee . But watching tv and the news via the internet but what a scam to recharge a extra 1200 which at the time was in date its I cant attach the receipt to show every one , Its one hell of a scam !

Yes I thought there was something extra paying at 7/11 But to re-connect a system that is already connect and charging the extra 1200 Baht to re-connect a system that's already connected , I knew business was bad in Thailand right now but to charge 300 Baht per month for doing nothing I am lost for words.

This was your first mistake. It simply got worse after that.

I am amazed that the service gets disconnected every month regardless of whether or not you pay on time.

In Indo Telkomsel used to expect customers to pay their monthly bills without them actually sending out any bills. You'd have to contact them, ask how much you owed then pay them...if you didn't do it by the deadline they'd cut you off.

Yes its them I am speaking to now but its very clear that its a scam to get people to pay more money , The last reply I got from them 30 minutes ago was this .

Is it me because it makes no sense 1 month cost more than 6 months I think the guy may have been on the Booze .

Thank you for your email regarding Truevisions subscription fee for sold equipment. We, TrueVisions Care, would like to restate that 300 Baht is charged as prepaid fee in other word, those who subscribe to sold equipment are required to pay. Besides, if you prefer to watch 11 months, below are options you may choose to pay.

    1. Price plan 1 month
    Subscription fee: 2000x11 = 22000 Baht
    Prepaid fee: 300*11= 3300 Baht
    Grand total: 25300 Baht

    2. Price plan 3 moths (3+3+3+1 = 11 months)
    Subscription fee: 2000x11 = 22000 Baht
    Prepaid fee: = 1200 Baht (300+300+300+300)
    Grand total: 23200 Baht

    3. Price plan 6 moths (6+3+1+1 = 11 months)
    Subscription fee: 2000x11 = 22000 Baht
    Prepaid fee: = 1200 Baht (0+300+300+300)
    Grand total: 22900 Baht

If you have any question, please e-mail or call us at 0-2725-2727 extension 9 to continue in English

    Yours sincerely
It looks like you cant copy and paste there reply but I think you can see the amounts dont make any sense .

    ^^ Sold equipment?

Maybe that is the root of the problem? I am pretty sure I rent my box from them - for gold I pay 1,500 (and a bit of change per month)....

What other options are there I have a smart tv + TOT fiber internet link that I watch the news and down load movies , The flat roof above me gives me full access to all to install a larger dish if required . But I am just lost for words I went into the Televiz shop to pay a simply utility bill and ended up with a nightmare like this .
    Dear Valued True Vision Member

We greatly appreciate your continued patronage and accordingly , We Would like to advise that your monthy subscription is due to expiry on the 07 th of October , Your renewal and payment in amount of Baht 2.000.00 within 01 October 2015 .In order to continue to enjoy an uninterrupted service " and avoid disconnection of your signal , Kindly ensure payment of your monthly fee by the due date . A renewal request lodged AFTER signal disconnection will be levied a signal re-connection fee of Baht 300 and one month fee advanced payment .

This letter states in Black and White you charge me a Extra 300 Baht AFTER Signal has been disconnected Not Before Like I have said it a big con , I think the word is Milk as much out of you as possible .

CTH are just as bad. Seems that the 2 companies comprising this outfit of fuckwits (digital vs cable operations) haven't been paying each other, so are now billing customers for every month since they installed their service..
We have most of the receipts, but are now in the process of canceling CTH and having a one-time cover-all box installed. Not 100% legal, but given the options, wtf are people supposed to do?

Its very clear that the more you pay these guys the more they want , Its a pity I cannot copy and paste there emails and you cant do attachments on this site but there emails are amazing , My system was current and fully paid up and I paid 14 Days before the account was due to expiry .

I think the word is GREED ! or lets milk the farang , Business is bad but there not going to get more customers only less because it makes no sense turning off a system only to turn it back on again , Of cause they dont turn it off but there charging you the extra 300 to do just that . Any way I am going to put this on there face book page and I wonder how long it will last before they remove it .

I have never had any problems paying utility bills before its a very straight forward thing you have money in one hand and bill in the other in and straight out again .
Lets face it we are not talking just a few baht surcharge this is 300 per month .

But thanks to pseudolus with the filmon web site I can watch tv on the smart TV via TOT . So keep your eyes on the True Visions face book page I bet you they remove it .

Thanks for the feed back Thaimeme , I have not fully looked into what you can and what you cant get on Filmon but at the moment it gives me some thing to watch .

Paying the 2000.00 baht per month Subscription this I can understand .
If you let your account expiry this I can also understand and will cost 300 Baht

But I cannot understand how they can charge you a extra 300 baht per month to reconnected if the system is already connected and you have paid in my case 4 months in advance so thats 1200 Baht extra for NOTHING !

I just wonder what there going to think of next ?

Anyone use the Android box setup? A friend of mine uses this company: Set top Box to access free Internet sites.

Buy the box and 1,500 Baht / month afterwards. Supposed to be very good according to him, anyone else on this system?

I pay my TrueVisions easily with credit card online at iservice.truecorp.co.th, over the years some problems with failing tech but then you refer it to your credit card company and the problem goes away.

There is also real customer service True Care Chat after you log in.
Might need to wait a bit, log in 0755 sharp in the morning to avoid the queues of falangs with lost dogs who believe their telly ate them.

IMHO, having some customer service that you can record is a good thing,

Yes I have one. That XBMC stands for Xbox Media Centre and is now called Kodi.

You don't need the box, you can install it on a PC.

Boloa, Klong Toey and Harry Baracuda know all about it and have done threads on it.

The fukking thing freezes half of the time or you piss about with non working links.

You can get Sky boxes in Bangkok now and the server is in Bangkok too. 1700 baht a month is the going rate I think.

As with that kodi box, you can take that sky box with you anywhere and take it upstairs to bed as it can work off your wifi. They recommend you have a 20- 30 mb internet connection for them.
