Decent Dentist in Bangkok Sukhumvit area.

Does anyone know a decent Dentis around Sukhumvit soi 18 area? I chipped a back molar and probably need a cap and will get a clean while
I'm there. One who speaks English as my medical thai is even worse than my normal Thai and hopefully one that wont require me to take out a loan to pay the bill. What is BIDC and BIDH like if anyone has experience with them. Many thanks in advance.

I used the one on Asok, near Soi Cowboy a few times.

It was many years ago, but they can deal with a cap and a clean for sure.

[...Insert gag about filling cavities here...]

Many years ago I used The Dental Hospital which was on Sukhumvit 49.
I understand that they have moved to Sukhumvit 77.
On Sukhumvit 49 it was a modern facility with numerous dentists.
I was happy with the service.

I go to RSU dental, in RSU tower, the building on the corner of Sukhumvit and Soi 31.

They dont push unecessary treatment and I find them reasonably priced and ethical. I have only needed scalings and the occasional replacement filling. Very little English spoken though. Years ago I went to the big dental hospital on Sukhumvit 49, but found them pushy and overpriced.

    Really good.

Very conveniently located for a "passport run" too.

I have a load of shit that needs doing on my teeth, they seem to have started just dissolving away.

I have always had good teeth but started drinking lime juice during Covid to help ward off the lurgi, but my teeth are now completely knackered. I think that I need caps (?) crowns (?) all round and am just waiting to get the time to sort it all out.

It's a minefield picking a dentist to get this all sorted out.

I have always had an uneasy relationship with dentists. Too many years in uk with the old "raise your hand if it hurts" shit - numb your work area asshole. Or the tired old "you will feel a small pinch" as the drive a needle through the roof of your mouth. Fuckers.

I had a problem that my local dentist couldn't deal with and was referred to a specialist clinic. Been with them about 3 years now, and they are really really good. Go for cleaning every 4 months, and they keep a good eye on me.

There's a weird dissonance between dentists here and elsewhere. If you go to a dentist with a problem with one tooth, they will largely only deal with that. Never mind the cavity the size of Colorado on the next tooth. That's, and some foreigners, seem to think the dentists are over treating to earn more money. With my current clinic that is not the case. They walk me through problems and explain my options.

To Mendip, I used to wait until the pain was unbearable before going to a dentist. I went through so much unnecessary pain it is a joke. Get your teethe sorted while it is managable, or you will regret it in the long run.

If you follow the reviews you should be fine. I've not heard of many horror stories with regards to dentistry in Los. Seems to be something they are pretty good at.
